Chapter 1. - The First Time We Met

Emily's POV

    It was a glorious day, I was ready for learning and it was my first day of attending Pre - School. As any other new- comer, I was scared, but for my luck I had a big brother here with me and his name was Christian. "Hello everyone, my name is Mrs. Rea, and I'm going to be the best teacher you will ever have!" remarked the teacher. Sadly, no one was paying attention to her because of all the parents comforting their children. As the school bell rang at 8:30, all the infants screamt  at the top of their lungs, thinking that the bell was some kind of attack. Our
principal then announced very nicely on the microphone that all the parents had to leave so that the school day could begin, but every student knew that she was a devil inside and that she kinda disliked children. If the infant department was making so much noise and no parents were there then she would've screamt like a crazy person and call the teachers a donkey. As the parents were asked to leave I could see all the dreadful tears in my classmates eyes, it seemed as though I was the bravest one in the whole class, just because I knew my brother was here with me.

  As class started I heard my teacher say " Okay lil' ones it is time to learn our A B C's."As she wrote the letters A, B and C on the chalkboard she asked if any student knew a word starting with the letter A, I then shouted out apple. The teacher then clapped her hands and said " Very good."

As she was finished clapping a girl walked through the door wearing a white ribbon and white dress shoes. When she walked in I heard my teacher say " Come in dear, there is a seat right next to that girl." (Which of course was me)As she sat down I asked her what her name was and she replied saying Chelsie Akong.She then asked me for my name and I told her it was Emily Sookhan.She looked  at me and said " I like you...do you want to be my best friend?" In my mind I was thinking about her question, and I replied saying "Yes!"

    As Chelsie and I slowly passed through First Year and Second Year, we started to become closer and closer as friends.On the last day of the last term in Second Year , we made a deal, to be best friends forever!

It seemed as though Chelsie wnted more friends in our group,just for the fun of it. So on the first day of Standard 4 , everything changed....in a good way!
