Chapter#12 Just a Mistake

Natalie's POV

It took decades for my brain to process the situation.

Breath Natalie... breath

In

Out

'hmphhhhh...'

Did I just kissed Drake Parkinson? More like he kissed me.

Hang on... it was dark... he probably didn't do it on purpose.

It was probably a mistake. A big mistake.

The lights went on , revealing Drake's face.

My eyes travelled from his turquoise eyes, down to his plump, swollen lips.

Heat crept up my neck at the thought of the kiss. In that moment, all I knew was that I was kissing Drake Parkinson, and it was mind blowing.

It's funny how feelings play with you. They make you do stuff that you know you shouldn't, yet you want to do it so badly.

Drake stared back at me and passed a killer smile, but then, his eyes turned a darker shade and he stopped smiling.

Was it lust? Or... regret?

"Alright everyone!"

Brenda finally spoke, letting my sigh of relief blend into a cacophonous blur.

"Well, as I said before, the person you just kissed is going to be your partner to prom, but, if you have any objections, well it's your choice. I don't really want to create a lot of drama, apologies if anyone got hurt"

Are you kidding? You don't really know what is it like, probably because you didn't get yourself a date.

Well, I have Mike Samuels.

"Natalie! Natalie where are you" Mike came rushing through the crowd as his eyes met with me, then his gaze traveled to my left where Drake was standing.

"What the hell is he doing here!?"

"Mike-listen to me_"

"Oh! So Mr. Golden Boy's gonna tell where I ought to come and where not to?"

Drake smirked; I could sense he was up to no good.

" I warned you to stay away from her!"

Mike boomed with rage, grinding his teeth.

"Woah woah, when did that happen" I pushed Mike aside, placing my hands on his chest.

"Well, you made a mistake, because Drake Parkinson is rarely true to his words... especially with people like... you" Drake said coolly, clearly enjoying the attention by the crowd.
