The only light that illuminated the room was the computer screen. Different colours flashed across the screen and sometimes it would go completely black, or maybe completely white. Sat in front of the computer was a short man, who was in his 20s, holding the controller. His fingers moved fast to push the buttons when he needed to and to move the joystick. Silently he played the game, the only noise he would make was when he would die in the game, but that wasn't very often.

The graphics on the screen stopped moving. His muscles relaxed as soon has he had pressed down on the pause button. The level he was doing wass a hard one so he's stopped the game for now and decided to have a break. Running a hand through his soft, black hair, he got up. Quietly he moved around the apartment, not wanting to wake up his roommate. Soon he got to the fridge and he opened it. The sudden ray of light blinded him. His computer screen brightness was very low so the fridge light was surprisingly bright. He squinted his dark brown eyes at the food in front of him and after a long look he grabbed a left over sandwich and decided that was enough for now.

As he made his way back to his room he felt something vibrate in his pocket. He pulled out his phone and read the notification.

Steam_games tweeted:
Are you gonna become a gamers glitch forever or will you survive the game? Download gamers glitch now!

He slipped his phone back into his pocket and when he got back to his computer he decided to check out this game. He had never heard of it before but it's got great reviews. So he logged into his steam account.

Hello Mark! Welcome back, we hope you find the game you're looking for!

Mark smiled at the computer screen and he typed gamers glitch into the search bar. After reading the description he downloaded the game, excited that he can finally play something he hasn't played before. As soon as the game had downloaded he clicked on it.

Beep. Beep. Beep.

Ear piercing sounds rang out, surprising Mark. He held his hand on his ears and closed his eyes. This meant he couldn't see the computer screen. He couldn't see the glitches moving around it. He couldn't see them jumping out into the room around him. Suddenly the beeping stopped and mark opened his eyes but it was too late. All he could see was darkness with the odd glitch floating around and he could only think of one thing, "I'm stuck"

The lights. The noise. Everything. It was getting a bit too much for the young Irish man. So he snuck away past the crowds of people. He hardly knew any of them anyway, so no one would miss him anyway. His only 'close' friend was Felix, and he wasn't even at the party so no one would notice if he went home.

Silently he walked home, the darkness wrapped around him like a blanket. Each star twinkled in the sky and the odd plane would fly through them. It calmed him. Putting a blue beanie onto his sea green hair he let out a small sigh. The calm state he was in right now wouldn't last for that long though, and it upset him. He will find something that would anger him then he will be in a bad mood once again.

However, once he got home he realised that he had downloaded a game before he had left to go to the party. Now his good mood was a great mood. He loved video games so the fact there was a new one to play was amazing. He headed upstairs and sat down in front of his desk. Slowly, the computer turned on and he opened up steam.

Hello Jack! Welcome back, we hope you find the game you're looking for!

Jack smiled and clicked on the new game. Earlier steam had tweeted out about the new game and it had caught his attention. It was called gamers glitch and it looked quite good. He loaded up the game but as soon as he did his computer screen turned to black.

Nothing happened.

Jack mumbled a few swear words and frowned at his computer. It was still turned on, so it wasn't restarting and it was still on steam. He reached over to the power button but suddenly a glitch came up on the screen. "Oh" jack said to himself, "must be part of the game." He sat and watched the screen for a minute as the glitches grew and grew. But soon one appeared on his desk. Then one on the wall. Then one on the floor. "What the fu-" but before Jack could finish his sentence glitched landed on his arm, they were flying every where. Confused and scared, jack jumped up out of seat. He turned around to face the door, but it want there anymore, just glitches and darkness. Clenching his fists he walked towards it, his worrying turning into anger. There was no way he was being stuck here, definitely not. But as soon as he walked through the glitched he was engulfed by darkness. There were no floors, no ceiling, no floor... so jack started falling, and he didn't stop.

~~~~~
Glitches danced around, slowly forming objects. Walls slowly came together and finally a ceiling was made. The room wasn't that exciting. All it has is cream walls a black ceiling and a black floor. Nothing else. But soon more glitches came and got to work. A door appeared but was locked and dotted around the room were boxes which were locked, just like the door. On one wall a screen appeared and in front of it a long wooden table got lowered down from the ceiling.
Finally the room was complete but it was missing one thing.
A small part of the wall opened and the glitched carried a sleeping figure into the room. They put him down onto the cold floor and left. Soon the ceiling opened and a faint screaming woke the man up. He rubbed his eyes and listened to the high pitched scream, which was getting louder and louder. Nearly falling over, the man got up and waited for the screaming thing to finally reach him. Soon another man fell through the ceiling and landed on the floor with a thud.
"Oh god, are you okay?" The man standing up asked. His voice was soft and gentle buy it was also very deep and masculine.
"What do you fu-flipping think?" The other man restrained himself from swearing, his voice was higher pitched than the other man's and his words were coated in a thick Irish accent. Said man got up and brushed himself down. Both men could now study each other.
"Err, hi, I'm Mark" said the shorter one. His eyes were dark yet they sparkled and we're full of life. Even though he was quite short, he was very muscular, he had a red T-shirt on that clung to his abs. His soft, rose colored lips formed a small smile and he held out a small hand so the other guy could shake it.
"The name's Jack" the Irish man answered, in a monotone voice. He wasn't much taller than Mark and he definitely wasn't as muscular. His eyes were blue like the ocean but they seemed quite dull and lifeless. He grabbed marks hand and shook it. His hands were small but jacks were smaller and they were smooth and soft whereas marks were rough.
"I don't know how you're staying so calm dude bu-" before jack could finish his sentence a loud, robotic voice boomed, "hello boys, welcome to gamers glitch. I'm pixel and I'll be explain what you have to do. So let's get started..."
~.~.~.~.~
Ayyyyyeee this book is back. Tbh I bet you didn't even notice that it  left, oh well, it's here now. I've decide to work on it some more and I've (hopefully) made it better. So I hope you enjoy!
I will (again, hopefully) try to update every week. I'm apologizing in advance, there might be a couple times were I don't or can't update but I'll try. Luckily I've already written more chapters for this, so I'm ahead of my schedule.
As for my other book, I'll hopefully work on that again soon. It's a slow work in progress. For both books I have ideas and I felt like I needed a break from writing. So I'm properly back, for now, and I'm gonna start writing again.
I want to thank... everyone, tbh. I've made an amazing friend on wattpad, gotten to read great books and get tips. Thanks to everyone who has read any of my books, I'm very proud of my first book, it's gotten over 1k reads... wow...
So thank-you <3
Tell me what you think of this story, I have actually tried with this and I'd love to get some feed back.
