They went through this new hallway for what felt like weeks on end, and our main character was running low on ammo, only around 129 bullets left for his assault rifle and 100 for his revolver, and these things crawling in the dark were only getting stronger. taking nearly ten bullets to the face from his rifle, or three from his revolver to take down each time one showed up. and they were showing up in groups of three or four now. and this went on and on and on until he had just one bullet left for his revolver, and he was using mainly his fists to dispatch the enemies as Isaac made sure he didn't die, healing his wounds and dispatching any that were too much for him to handle until they got to the end of the hallway, into a clearing with old stone ruins covered in moss, with a few old and gnarled oak trees scattered about. in the center was a suit of armor with a large Odachi style long-bladed Katana with a neon blue edge in hand, seemingly empty, which upon seeing, our main character immediately called out "DIBS!" and ran towards it, before Isaac could warn him to stop, the suit came alive and slashed with wicked speed at our main character, who barely blocked it with the body of his rifle, exclaiming " OH SWEET JESUS I RESCIND MY DIBS CALL" as the metal on metal made a large clang sound throughout the normally peaceful glade
This loud clang was the start of a battle that would take a long time, the swordsman equal in skill to the both of our heroes combined, and having no body inside, the swordsman could easily take their hits while dishing them out right back at them both.. if they landed hits that is. our main character was only using his gun as a weapon and defense, while Isaac was a blur with a normal length Katana blade, with a red edge to it, and Isaac said to him telepathically "get to a position and shoot him in the back of the neck, that's his weak point!" so our main character let Isaac fight the suit of armor, and he aimed his revolver at the suit of armor's weak point in the back of the neck, taking aim.. pulling back the hammer... holding his breath... then he pulled the trigger, letting out a resounding "BANG" followed by the crashing of the armor, which dissipated into blue smoke, leaving the sword behind, which our main character picked up, and immediately fell to the ground in pain as a voice rang out in his head "I am Eligos. what makes you think you are worthy to wield me, human." the voice said, as our main character went effectively Catatonic, laying still on the ground like a dead body, save for his heartbeat and breathing
