Our main character woke up nearly two hours after the explosion. all he really remembered was a searing hot pain, as well as the wind getting knocked out of him from the shockwave of the explosion. he was lightheaded, and he had shrapnel stuck in his right leg, his chest, and even immediately under his right eye. he was lucky, he figured, that he still had his eye, the ten pieces of shrapnel in his chest hadn't hit anything vital, nor were they small enough to go into his bloodstream. and the one in his leg hadn't hit any blood vessels. so his blood loss was minimal, he could see, and he had about a 30 percent chance of dying to these wounds. but then there was the really bad part. the concussion. it had him completely scrambled, as he could hardly see, he was nauseous and dizzy, and worst of all he couldn't aim his guns. this was a nightmare. so he stood, as best as he could, and he holstered his pistol, drawing Eligos. hopefully there weren't any more master swordsmen in Labyrinthian, because he could barely hold Eligos as it was, let alone swing with precision. so on a scale of one to ten of him being screwed, he was at 150,000,000,000,000,000,000. so that was fun. nonetheless, he stood up, walking to the buttons yet again. He had exactly zero clue of which one to press, so he pressed the green button to Open the green door. Green means "go", right? wrong. oh, so wrong. five more robots, and he couldn't see what they were carrying. from the blurred shape he either guessed a very long... adult female entertainment device of the black colored variety, or some kind of tonfa or baton type bludgeoning weapon. Yet, he stood tall, readying Eligos, who was saying a prayer for our main character to have a quick, painless death. despite Eligos' complete lack of trust in our main character, he charged the machines, slashing to decapitate two of them at once with a single swing, then sinning to block one's attack. and being at such a close range, he grabbed his shotgun with his free hand, firing at the two other machines, blasting them backwards and deactivating them at the same time, but he couldn't use the pump action without his other hand. But as he was thinking this through, he got hit in the face hard by the Robot's baton. thankfully, it wasn't hitting the side with shrapnel, or he would have lost an eye. he barely managed to regain his footing though, as that did NOT help his concussion, but he swung hard t the robot, which attempted to parry the strike with it's baton, but Eligos cleaved straight through both the baton and the robot, leaving our main character as the only one standing afterwards... but then he doubled over and puked out his guts. not literally, but he puked a lot from the massive concussion and extreme amount of pain from the searing hot shrapnel in his body. Yet he somehow summoned the strength to limp towards the blue button, pressing it to open the door. Lucky him, there were no enemies there. so he took one of the Robot's heads as a trophy before leaving the room, the skull like metal head dangling from his belt as he limped slowly down the hallway, with pitch black walls and bright blue wiring lighting his way as he aimlessly limped. going forward was the only way to go, except for six feet under
