Now keep in mind. this entire time, our main character had been on the ground, basically a vegetable. but he was having an argument in his mind that would decide whether he got the sword or died slowly and painfully over the course of two weeks.
deep in his subconscious, he was standing in his childhood home. pictures of him, with his mom and dad on the wall, from when he was a child. the house was all there was though, outside was an empty void. nothing but darkness. he then saw what appeared to be a regular man, with pale white skin and jet black hair relaxing on his old white leather couch, eating doritos and drinking crystal pepsi while watching the fresh prince of Bel-Air on the old box TV "oh, look who is awake.man, i miss the ninteys. i was so much less... military back then." Eligos said, before the show shut off, as well as his food and drink, and he suddenly stood before our main character "what makes you think you are worthy to wield my blade." he said, now more authoritative in tone as he stared down our main character, who glared back in response "I've survived among god-killers" he said, which Eligos scoffed at "Yes.. because they let you. but what do you fight for" the main character then grimaced "because i fight for a woman" to which Eligos replied "heard that one about seven billion times. hardly original. one last chance before you die. slowly.. and painfully. what. do. you. fight. for/" to which our main character took a deep breath, looking down "to prove you don't need powers or abilities to be strong. to show that humans can be just as strong as anything else in all of creation. that we all aren't just cannon fodder or playthings to be messed around with." this made Eligos pause and turn around, deep in thought for about two minutes before responding "that.. is a noble cause. one that I would fight for. you have my assistance, brave warrior" Eligos said with a nod, before our character went back to reality with a jolt, taking deep, panicked breaths "WAAGH!" he exclaimed as he woke up, Isaac sitting nearby, and said "oh, it found you worthy. wasn't expecting that... come on. that was just Level One" he said, walking towards a white door, and our main character raised an eyebrow "how many are there?" he asked, and Isaac smirked as he walked "I have no Idea"
