Ella POV

next day .....

something about this place makes  my body shiver, maybe its the freakishly white walls that engulfed me around every turn or cloud it be the fact that it always smelt  like disinfectants and plasters.

yes i'm i the city hospital with my mum as her appointment with Dr Khan is today which makes me took a day off from work, am scared and nervous at the same time and i hope this wont be anything serious don't wanna lose her she is the best thing that has ever  happen to me after losing dad and cant lose her too ooh God help me need you more than ever as i prayed a silent prayer.

 '' baby girl don't worry'' she said in a clam voice  She's sitting on my right hand side and on my left  hand there is a man in his thirties, I looked at my mum and open my big mouth to speak "Are you kidding me? Why shouldn't I worry" she looked at me in the eyes and was about to speak but I suddenly cut her off " mum please let me worried, you the only one l have left and cant afford to lose you" I told her without even realising that I'm hurting her. After I lost dad, I take risk to lose mum now.

She kept silence for the whole time. "I'm sorry Mum, I didn't mean to hurt you, it's just wrong timing. I love you so much mum, I can't afford to lose you."

Her eyes got really watery and she didn't say anything but instead she hugged me really hard and in return I hug her back.

"I'm sorry Ella, for putting you through all this problems. I'm so sorry"  she started apologising as if she was the cause of her illness, well that's what mothers do they blame themselves for everything just to make their children happy but i know deep down her heart she is hurting and she doesn't want to show it as been the strong woman she has always been since dad passed away 

"Don't cry mum, is my responsibility to make sure that you are fine and don't blame yourself for what we going through, is not your faults." i told her cheering her up, and is my responsibilities to make sure that she is happy  and i will risk anything to replace that smile back on her face "No Ella it is."Before  she  could say anything Nurse call us "Mrs winter please follow me " we stood up and started following the nurse until she stop in front of Dr khan's office and said 

"Please go inside, Dr khan is waiting for you" She said and make her way to the reception, I knocked on the door and make our way in. Dr khan was sitting on his black leather chair, the room was quite big, In the middle there was big table which has two chairs in front of Dr khan's chair and On the table there was a lots of files and a glass of water. On the left side of the room has big black couch and small table. Right side has really big book shell and I think all the books must be about medical, of course it will be.

I saw "Hot lights, Cold steel, By Michael J. Collins, M.D."book."But before I could think anymore Dr khan greeted us with a huge smile on his face which makes me relax as there wont be nothing serious.

"Hello Mrs Winter and Ella Winter" Dr khan knows me very well, he and my dad was very close according to them they were very close friends  back in college,  He's in his late fifths he has brown eyes with black hair  which is now tuning into grey hair 

"Hello doctor" mum greeted doctor khan.

"Hi Sir" I greeted  him while we took our seat on the black leather chair.

"So how are you Mrs Winter" Dr khan asked my mum.

"Yeah I'm okay" and Dr khan nodded and turn to me.

"Ella I think you know what's wrong with your mum, Right" Dr khan asked

"Yeah, we both know" I told Dr khan. And I think He must be thinking that Mum doesn't know about her condition but yesterday I told her everything because I don't want her to be in puzzled and cant hide anything from her, 

"Okay that's good please listen careful for what am about to tell you" he suddenly stopped for a minute and turn to looked at mum. She was looking so tense worried which makes my heart whenever i see her like this 

"Ms Winter we cant do anything about your mum's condition but there is a way to the solution" my heart beat stopped for a minutes, it was as if i have been knocked down by a car i snapped out of my though when i notice the doctor was looking at me and waiting for me before he can continue 

"What's the solution Dr?" as I asked him. I don't want to lose my mum so am ready for anything, even if i have to leave here to different country for her treatment i'm ready for anything to save my precious mother she deserve the best.

"What can we do doc?" mum asked Dr Khan.

"Yes there is only one solution and with that I have hope in my heart and in my mind that there is a solution to everything."

"What can we do?, Please tell me am ready for anything doc" I'm so worried and I don't want to waste anytime.

"Ella's calm down" mum said with tense voice.

"Ella and Mrs Winter there is a way to the solution, you have to move to New York city, l have spoken with a doctor and they agree to check your mum. If you can move to New York ASAP then I can give you the details." he spoke as if he was reading my mind , and Without even thinking I agreed with Dr Khan "Yes we will move" with that I looked at my mum who was in a big shock and I know what she might be thinking.

"We can't Ella, you have your job here and we Don't even have any home over there so how we going to survive" when she finished talking Dr Khan speaks "I can allow you guys to stay in my department in New York and about job, Ella you need to find that by yourself" And I nodded at Dr khan's statement, because I trusted him and I want my mum, so yes I will do anything to save her. Even if it takes my last breath.

"No we can't take that offer" she said but before she could say anything else l raise my hand to stop her "Mum your health is more important than anything  else  and i'm ready to take that risk will him when i get a job back there , while there is life there is hope" I looked at the  doctor and he nodded because he knows that I won't take his offer for free, that's one thing about me been a burden to someone is my last thing to do i always wanted to be independent woman and never depend on anyone because even   your  own shadow leaves  you when you are in the darkness.

after a few minute later the doctor gave us all the details need and he told us to move as soon as possible for mum's treatment before the disease spread, is not like am leaving someone important, i m always busy with work and didn't even have  time for friends so it wont be difficult moving out  so New here we come.
