"You figured I'd come." The Romanoff girl said softly, concisely.
"After," Loki began to walk toward the glass, toward the assassin "After whatever tortures Fury can concoct, you would appear as a friend, as a balm. And I would cooperate."
"I want to know what you've done to Agent Barton." Aelin stayed behind Loki and watched the scene unfold. After all, how else was she to understand the predicament her lover was in?
"I would say I've expanded his mind." Loki's mouth twitched into a half grin for but a second before it disappeared. The agent's jaw clenched ever so slightly.
"And once you've won," she begins, striding toward the glass cage to stare into the eyes of the beast "Once you're king of the mountain, what happens to his mind?"
Aelin cocked her head to the side, "Is this love, Agent Romanoff?" The words tumble from her lips lilted with amusement and red haired woman's eyes dart toward her.
"Love is for children." All too suddenly, her attention is focused once again on Loki. "I owe him a debt." The meddlesome god's interest is sparked and he glides back toward his lover and guides her to the cot to sit and listen to the story.
