His groans echoed loudly, while he pulled with his hands.

How could this thing hold up without falling apart?

He slammed one of his feet forward onto the ground, his hands pressured more around the metal. He growled, determined to keep pulling and dragging the armor towards his clearing, by its foot. He took it out of the dense patch of trees, not easily.

He halted for a moment, once he got out the shadows of the trees. He finally had his cave in sight, after maneuvering through the bushes. He glanced back at the helmet of the armor, which was now full of mud after having been dragged along the ground.

His amber eyes were full of worry, because he had tried to call Uriel at first, before he decided to drag the armor. The thing was literally dead; there was no violet glow, nothing. Uriel did not control it, no matter how he called or shook it.

That scared him. He did not want to leave the armor abandoned, between trees, mud and blisters. He did not want to, not after what his demon had done for him. He was worried, even if he knew that Uriel was not the armor, that it was only an object controlled by his will. He had been unable to leave it there in the open.

Here he was now, trying to carry it back into his cave, after seeing that it would not move or answer his calls.

The idea of carrying it piece by piece crossed his mind. It did, because it would be much easier. He looked again at the helmet, intently. His hands let go a little of the foot of the armor, he had a moment of doubt... But that doubt faded. His eyes narrowed and fixed again forward. He refused to dismantle the armor.

It was faster to just carry it whole. He would spend less time going back and forth with every piece. It was not like he thought this thing could hurt or anything... He was just being efficient.

The angel huffed and gave another strong pull, with the help of his arms and legs. He kept walking forward, slowly, because the heavy armor dragged behind him like a ragdoll. He made way into his cave, past the garden and fire. His half breathed curses and growls echoed into the cavern; two ears twitched, and two small black eyes opened.

The rabbit woke, and then stood a little on his front paws. His whiskers twitched as he looked at the drapes. He saw the blond trip and fall face first into the nest, with a loud yelp.

Alexis huffed and raised his gaze from the ground, grumpily.

"How can he move this damn thing?"

He sat up again and patted his clothes. Then, he grabbed the armor by its chest plate. In a minute, he managed to push and lay it sitting against a wall. He did not like how it slumped to a side when he let go, lifeless. It was limp, dead. His demon was not there.

Alexis snapped his fingers in front of the empty helmet a few times, unaware of the little rodent that was now outstretching and letting out a silent but long yawn. He heard a small growl, which surprised him and made him look sideways towards his table.

He slowly stood, because two black eyes were fixed on him, and a snout was leaned to a side. The animal was giving him a curious glance.

The angel fidgeted a little, unsure as if to approach. He could not sense fear in the rodent, so he dared to whisper.

"Feeling better?"

The rabbit kept staring at him, but he saw his small nose twitch in answer. He finally neared the table, and leaned onto it to look more closely at his wounds. He smiled a little, because those paws moved and brushed his whiskers sleepily. The bunny did not seem to be paying much mind to his problem anymore. He only seemed mildly annoyed; he kept letting out squeaks, but not of pain.
