Niall's POV

I sat in the ripped, red booth as I held the hot tea in my hands, warming me up. The tea tasted like garbage but right now my taste buds weren't even processing the flavor. Christmas music hummed quietly from the ancient speakers. There were workers cleaning off tables and kept giving me strange glances, wondering why a man would come into a restaurant on Christmas Eve in the middle of the night. After I completely flipped out at the boys, I just started walking and winded up here. I tapped my fingers on the table, trying to think and process everything that was going on as I heard the chiming of bells from the door, indicating that some customer just entered the store. I immediately whipped my head around, because I was curious, who else would want to be here at this hour? My mouth dropped open as I saw a stunning girl with straight, jet black hair hanging up her dark navy coat. She wore jeans and blue Uggs. Wow I said to myself, someone likes the color blue. I watched as she stomped as hard as a elephant over to the overly friendly blonde waitress with the western accent. She seemed very bold as she dazzled a smile at blondie. She seemed very confident, and it was kind of scary to be completely honest. But she drew me in.

The waitress (I don't remember her name. Sally or Suzanna? Something like that) flashed back a small grin and escorted her over to the uncomfortably tiny table a little ways away from me. She rubbed her hands on her thighs as she tapped her feet awkwardly. She folded her arms neatly in her lap and stared at the menu before her. She flipped open the menu staring at it, but than shut it again. She looked cold and exhausted as though she would pass right out. Sally or Suzanna came over again with her Barbie doll smile and the girl whispered a black coffee. I stared at her as she continued to sit there staring off into space. She was different. Snap out of it Niall! I screamed at myself, you have a girlfriend. Honestly, Barbara was absolutely gorgeous and fabulous, but honestly she seemed too perfect at times. I felt a bit pressured because all the guys had a girlfriend except for me. But I knew that I could never truly love her. I wanted a imperfect girl that needed to be told that she needed to be loved, so I could do it for her. But I knew I could never date a normal girl. I couldn't be that perfect boyfriend that talks on the phone all day or brings flowers to a girl on their anniversary, the only thing I could do was send a small text or possibly Skype for about 5 seconds. Barbara led the same life I did so we could work out. It's not like I hated Barbara, she was a close friend of mine, but I didn't want to date her or anything.

"Hey," I heard a silky voice squeak, "could you please stop staring at me? It's kind of freaking me out". Right away, I blinked out of my thoughts to meet a pair of beautiful violet eyes staring back at me. Whoa was my first immediate thought. Her eyes were the most unique color in the universe. They were very light purple, a lavender color like lilacs in the spring. I bet no one had as beautiful eyes as she did. UGH NIALL STOP! I screamed to myself.

"Oh um uh- I'm so sorry," I squeaked awkwardly. There was a awkward silence that seemed to last an eternity.
