Jacqueline's POV
My heart was beating a thousand times a minute. I could barely breath and I had to hold onto the small coffee to keep from falling over. What was happening to me? I just kissed some other girl's man. Well it wasn't exactly a kiss, maybe more of a stroke. But that's beside the point. How would she feel if she saw me kissing him? I would feel devastated. I heard knocks continuing to come from outside.
"Jackie please," he pleaded exasperatedly, "I didn't mean to it. It was a blink of a moment thing, I don't know what I was doing. Just please forgive me". Surprisingly hearing those words coming out of his mouth, made me feel even worse. He basically just friend-zoned me. So I didn't know if I was feeling happy or upset. I mean how could I have a crush on him? He's a international popster sensation, our lifestyles weren't meant to be together. After more minutes of pleading I couldn't take it anymore, and I opened the door up to him. He had a face filled of worry and guilt.
"I'm so so sorry," he said.
I finally managed to whisper out a small okay as he wrapped his arms around my small waist. It felt so right, but my thoughts were just swarming like bees in my brain.
"WE ARE HERE," We heard the familiar voice of Louis, "WE ARE FINALLY HERE!"
He finally released me from his strong grasp. More than anything I just wanted to stay there forever. The boys all ran out of their bunks to the window, their eyes eager to check out my aggravating brother's house. It looked exactly the same as the last time I visited. A few lights hung by the door and there were pine branches decorating the windowsills. Light seemed to perfectly cover the small colonial home. I haven't seen it since they were first engaged. Now they have a young son named Michael that I only met once when they came to see the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade three years ago. The first time I met him was when he was four so now he must be seven. He was the cutest thing ever and I loved hanging out with the little rascal.
"I can't wait to go inside," Harry squeaked like a crazy fangirl, "now let's go let's go!" We all quickly ran into the snow and rushed to the front door.
Liam being the gentleman he was rang the front door and knocked quietly. We stood there awkwardly for a few seconds, when the door finally opened. I saw my brother grinning happily in his winter flannel he wore every Christmas Eve.
"Who's this gorgeous grown up girl?" he asked as he wrapped me in a bear hug. I have to admit Henry did give the best hugs.
"Hi bro," I said with a large smile, "haven't seen you in ages".
"Ya because you haven't visited," he said rolling his eyes playfully.
"JACKIE!" I heard a small voice scream out from inside.
"MICHAEL!" I smiled as he ran into my arms and I picked him up, engulfing him in a hug, "how've you been buddy? How's kindergarten? You should be asleep silly goose it's almost three o'clock in the morning otherwise Santa won't come".
"I'm in second now silly," he said acting like he was the coolest kid around, "I've been tracking him and he's not gonna be here for at least a little while longer and I wanted to wait for you".
"The things we can do with technology," I said as I squeezed him closer in my arms. We talked for a little while, but my brother finally noticed the five teenagers standing there awkwardly behind me.
"Are you going to introduce us to your friends?" my brother asked in confusion.
"Oh um this is One Direction," I said indicating to the boys,"they're a British boy band and they didn't have a place for tonight, so I offered for them to stay here. Is that alright?" Hey who thought I would ever say that. Huh.
At first I saw him considering his options. Before he could reply a female voice pipped up from behind him.
"Of course they can! You can't be alone on Christmas!" A women with stunning auburn hair and mesmerizing pale green eyes. She wore a Christmas-y apron and she rubbed the flour off of her hands. She tucked a small piece of hair behind her ear. She was probably one of the most breath-taking people I've ever met. She literally looked like a goddess. She was so kind and sweet to everyone. I've never seen my brother in love with a women before.
"Jackie," Melody said with her dazzling, heart stopping smile, "so nice to see you".
"Hi Melody," I waved slightly.
"Let them in you idiot before they freeze" she said swatting my brother with a laugh as she guided all of us into the house.
"Get comfortable, take off your shoes, relax," she said as she walked back over to the oven. I dropped Michael to the ground as he ran over to look inside. I stripped off my large coat and kicked off my boats, and sat in the stool in the island in the kitchen. Christmas music hummed lightly as the fire cackled loudly in the fireplace. The house was not overly decorated. It had a few branches decorating the shelves with snow globes. The couch was a poop brown color that was covered with blankets and pillows. The tree has colorful lights and homemade ornaments.
"Whatcha making?" I asked leaning over the island trying to get a better view of the oven.
"GINGERBREAD PEOPLE!" Michael screamed enthusiastically as he jumped up and down, "MOMMY'S GOING TO DECORATE THEM FOR SANTA!"
"Speaking of which you gotta go to bed," Melody said as she leaned down tucking a small piece of his strawberry blond hair.
"But I want to stay up with Jackie," he whined. Ugh he was so cute.
"You'll see Jacqueline in the morning and you can play in the snow all day," she said kissing his cheek, "now go upstairs so Santa can come". He ran over to me and gave me a hug, than running up the stairs. I turned around and saw the boys still awkwardly huddled near the door.
"Don't be shy boys," she said ushering them to sit. They all blushed heavily and sat down next to me.
"Thank you so much," Liam said being the gentleman he was, "we are truly so grateful that you are letting us stay here. We know it's not ideal considering it's the holidays and everything".
"It's no problem," she said as she whipped up some frosting.
"So you are One Direction?" Melody said grabbing a towel and leaning against the countertop.
"Yup! In the flesh!" Zayn said.
"You know, my niece can't stop talking about you guys. All she wanted for Christmas is meet and greet tickets to your concert. You'll meet her tomorrow I guess. Oh I'm going to be the best aunt ever," she added with a smirk.
"Haha well we would love to meet her, we love talking to our fans," Liam said with a shrug, "but it's kind of scary when they know your blood types and everything"."We love them but it seriously is creepy," Niall added. She chuckled at him. They continued to talk about their careers and told Melody about themselves. After a while, my eyes starting to shut.
"Why don't we all go to bed?" Melody whispered quietly, before my eyes finally shut.
