The next day, I wore a simple black jumpsuit with pink sparkly flats and went to school, I was completely gloveless and my Tattoo was in plain view, peoples heads turned when I passed them.
I sat alone in home room when this Goth chick, Lea, I guess, walks up to me
"Ella, right?"
I nod
"Cool Eye tattoo, where'd you get it?"
"A friend did it for me." I mumbled
"Cool"
"You already said that" I say dryly.
She rolled her eyes and walked off, bumping into Lana who was in her cheer leading uniform and had like 3 bottles of glitter on her face and hair. She was holding a load of flyers. She gave me one, "here, I'm hosting a party later today, you're invited"
" Well, duh" I roll my eyes at her "I'm your best friend"
She giggled and walked off.
Could Lana be the sponge? I shook my head again
"What could you be shaking your head for now?" Jack's voice came through my thoughts.
I look at my phone, completely ignoring him.
He shakes the flyer in front of my face
"We are invited to Lana's Party"
"Um, I think Ella is aware of that" Norris says, coming to my aid
"I wasn't talking to you, Norris" Jack said, an edge to his voice. Anger, maybe.
"Well, Ella has a flyer, logically meaning that she knows of the party"
"Back off my girlfriend, nerd"
"Back off my bestfriend, stupid", Norris' aura glowed a blazing red.
"you know for a nerd, you're pretty stupid."
"I'd rather be stupid than be an insensitive jerk"
"Whoa!!!" I interrupt when I see Jacks hands forming fists.
He takes one look at me and walks off. Leaving people in the home room staring at the little group.
"What was that all about?" I ask Norris, holding his hand.
Because I like you, you little oddball. He thought.
I gasp, pulling my hand back. I just heard his thought.
"It was nothing."..
Well, school was a blur. I thought when I got home.
"Um, what should I wear for this party?" Delia asked me, waving a pair of shorts at me
"No offence, Delia. You're a ghost. No one can see you except I and Jack"
"Exactly the reason why I have to look good"
I shake my head and rummage through my closet. I do my hair and makeup, take a last look at Delia who was going through my clothes now. I ran down to my car and drove down to the party venue. Music was pouring out from the front door. I walked in, nodding at Lana, she was beside Tiffany, the prissy cheerqueen. I saw Norris with some nerds and I waved at them. I got myself a drink and went towards the pool. It was relatively quiet there.
"Do you mind telling me what the hell happened this morning?"
Ugh, Jack. My hands balled up into fists
"Did you mind telling me that Lyme's is your place, that we oh so happened to die in and that we still have the bullet marks from England, or that I can time travel or that Delia is psychic?"
A surprised look washed over his face and he looked away.
"I thought so?" I said, walking out on him.
I went in and got myself much more drinks, I was in a corner all by myself when Arthur walked up to me.
"Hey, Ella"
"What do you want, Debonair?" The beer was giving me bravery.
"I want you." He said "and I want to have you, over and over and over again"
The blood from my head drained away.
"Hey" Norris appeared in my hind view "Ella, there's something I need to tell you"
I pushed my way to him, under my breath, I said "Man, am I glad to see you?"
