Kissing In Cars and The Best Christmas Present

Audrey's POV

So last week the stupid camera men started to interview my family in those little interview things. It was my turn. I grabbed a pen and my notebook and went to the kitchen.

"Hey Audrey. So we are going to interview you. First question, why dont you talk?"

I wrote "Fudge off." on my paper and hold it up for him. "Well... Okay... So isn't that Jada's jacket?"

I write down "I'm only using her" which used all the room on the paper since I wrote too big. I showed them then, turned the page and wrote "jacket cause it's warm and I really like it."

"Why are you friends with Jada?" the man asks. "Well... Oh look at the time. we have to go back to the studio and get this weeks episode ready." the guy said. Then they left.

Now I'm texting Jada to ask her if she wants to come watch the christmas episode. She replyed back with "Sure. Be over in about 5 minutes." I go get her present from my room and bring it downstairs. Then I go open the door for her.

"Hey babe." she says and hugs me. We go sit on the couch after we grab the snacks and I change the channel to my family's tv show.. this episode is hilarious, cause I'm barely in it, so it's just my family. I snuggle up to Jada who kisses me on the forehead. It's time for the interviews, and I'm up.

"Why are you friends with Jada?" he asks me....Wait...I never answered that question. Next thing I know I'm on the screen holding paper that says "I'm only using her."

"H-how could you?" Jada says quietly staring at me. Those stupid camera guys have crossed the line. I was okay with the show, but they have twisted around the events so much that they've hurt my girlfriend. Jada runs out the house crying. I grab my present for her and run down the street after her. By the time I get to her house she is inside with the door locked.

Well my life is over. My girlfriend hates me thanks to reality tv. I walk back home as it starts to snow. Why did I wear a tank top? I look at my watch and see it's now 11:00pm. Only one hour till midnight. One hour till Christmas day. I get home and sit on my bed and begin to hum the song Kissing In Cars by Pierce The Veil. I look back at my watch and see its 11:45pm and I get an idea.

I grab a santa hat, a pillow case, and a hoodie and run downstairs grabbing Jada's present on the way. I run to Jada's house and make it there by 11:55.

I knock on the door and Jada's mom opens up "What are you doing here at 11pm?" she asks. I hold up my santa hat and my sack. "Oh I see, want Jada?" she asks. I nod quickly. "Okay. I will go get her." she says. I hand her a blindfold. "Um.. Okay."

A minute later she is helping the now, blindfolded, Jada downstairs. She leads her over to me and goes back upstairs to sleep. I look at my watch. 11:59. I pull her blindfold off and reach into my sack and pull out her present. She grabs it shakily and opens it. She pulls out the piece of paper.

"I love you." I say as she reads the words "I love you." off of the paper.

"Yo-you talked... I-I-I-" I cut her off with a kiss as the clock strikes 12. I pull back and put my forehead against hers. "Merry Christmas, babe." I say.

"Merry Christmas to you too, babe." she says before she pulls me in for another kiss. She pulls away before we start making out so she can go get my present. It was a cd with all the songs that remind her of me. The first one, was Kissing In Cars by Pierce The Veil.

"You didn't need to get me a present sweetie, I already have the best christmas present I could ever ask for." I say.

She frowns "What?" she asks.

"You." I say.

"Oh." she says as she giggles. I look up for a second and notice some mistletoe.

"Look babe," I say as I point up. "mistletoe." she pulls me in for another kiss.
