Personality: Alexander Masters...the epitome of a tragic-hero complex. He'll often be found wallowing in his thoughts of righteousness and what it means to really be a hero. When he's alone, which is most often the case, he'll either watch for hours out a window or even numb his brain with sitcoms on TV. He feels the excessive, almost compulsive need to take things slow in consideration to his particular situation. When not moping about and being a figurative vegetable, he practices yoga and tai-chi atop tall buildings, saying that he's trying to live slowly and more in touch with himself.

In public, however, Alex does a near complete 180° to his attitude. He plays it up as the ever reliant hero, who you can call and expect at a moment's notice. He cracks jokes with the citizens, plays games with the kids, donates both money and time to the homeless, and even visits the sick in the hospital. He lives for the thought of being a hero, like he wanted his whole life to be, and everyone loves him for that.

•Alex is the classic hero, and will as such back down if a hostage is held in such a way that he wouldn't be able to save them.

•Null energy- basically the exact opposite of energy and movement. It can drain all sources of potent energy and deconstruct it completely.

Signature moves:

"Electric Coil"- creates an inescapable coil of energy around the opponent, trapping them.

"Coil Breaker"- can overcharge the coil and send the enemy within it slamming against the sides.

"Coil Cannon"- after "Coil Breaker", can send a massive surge of energy into the coil, blasting the opponent out at breaking sound barrier speeds.

"Thunderbolt"- exactly what it says, a bolt of lightning that can be hurled like a javelin.

"Drain"- can siphon the natural energy of any organism, including that of false gods, deities, and demons.

Synopsis: Once the managerial supervisor for an ether power plant, Alex was forced to shut it down as ordered from the higher executive branch. Unfortunately a malfunction occurred during the shut down of the drill that was the bridge from the energy source, the Ether Plane of existence, to the Material Plane of earth. The residents of that plane, classified as Spectres, were released.

The Spectres began to feed upon the life energy of the plant workers until only Alex was left. As the Spectres tried to feed off of him the drill finally began to overload from a combination of ether energy leakage and a passing lightning storm. The explosion left Alex badly burned and had rendered his body unable to move, but the Spectres hadn't even been touched. They tried once again to feed on Alex, but that changed once lighting struck the plant. The lightning managed to hit the Spectres and break them down to their most basic forms of energy, which were then funneled into the the first living thing it could find...Alex.

The chemistry of the Spectres forced Alex to absorb the electricity from not only the single bolt, but within an hour Alex had drained and stopped the passing storm. The electricity healed Alex, who soon began to believe he was given these abilities for a reason.

Once a self proclaimed super hero, Alex now works closely with other people of extraordinary capabilities to protect against all he deems immoral and unjust.
