Marlon is on his way to Tucker's so he can go to Camille's for dinner. It's definitely going to be weird but he is trying to make the best of things. He hasn't really celebrated Thanksgiving in a few years, except for the occasional time he would go to Tucker's dad's house and they would eat take out and watch football. It was rather casual so he didn't stress about it. Today he has to look good enough to be around other people, especially those he doesn't know well.

He's really interested in getting to know Camille a lot more. They've spoken on a couple of occasions while at the club she sings at. She truly is a phenomenal singer and it's a shame she's not packing concert halls all over America because he's quite sure she could. He has definitely been able to understand what Tucker sees in her. She has a light around her he's never seen on anyone else.

Even though it was a whole lot of drama with that other guy, she still genuinely loves Tucker and wants to make things work with him. Tucker is happy so that's all that really matters.

He on the other hand is happy still being single. It's going to take him a couple more years to be ready to make a commitment to someone, and then she will have to be the most amazing woman he has ever come across. He definitely hasn't met her yet that's for sure.

"What's up man? I brought a bottle of wine I didn't know if that would be alright." Marlon said walking into Tucker's house.

"I'm quite sure they will appreciate it. I forgot to tell you, Cameron's woman is going to be there too. I know you don't like her just as much as the rest of us, but it is what it is." Tucker answered.

He scowled deeply. If he never saw that woman again it would be too soon. She's obnoxious and it is a huge turnoff. No matter how many women Marlon may encounter, none of them have behaved the way that woman does. The sad thing is she continues to get away with it because Camille's brother is too damn whipped to see it.

Physically, the woman is a knock out. Great skin, long flowing hair, a pretty decent face, and a killer body, but her personality is shitty. Marlon has never believed in messing around when in a committed relationship, especially if the other person doesn't know about it. He has never personally gone after anyone who was supposed to be someone else's lady. It's just something he's not interested in because he thinks if you are in a relationship it is for a reason and you need to honor that.

"Well I guess I have to keep my distance then. Are you staying at Camille's tonight?"

"Yea, so you will have to follow me alright.

He nodded and watched Tucker pick up his bag off the floor and keys off of the counter. They walked out the door getting into their respective vehicles and headed up the road.

It only took about ten minutes to get there. He never knew where Camille lived, but it is definitely a nice place. It's a huge house. The nice thing is that Camille, her brother and mother have their own little piece of the house, so they are together, but still able to have privacy.

He grew up in Roxbury, not too different from Dorchester. They are right next to each other so there really isn't a super change in the neighborhood when passing through them.

His father drives for the Mass Transit, working on the "T", green line usually. He's been there for many years, ever since Marlon was a little boy. His mother used to teach at one of the high schools in town until she got sick. That was definitely one of the hardest parts of Marlon's life. They were very close. He was an only child so he got all of her attention, and she didn't mind giving it. When she went he lost a pretty big piece of himself. It's probably part of the reason he hasn't settled down, fear of losing the person like he lost her.
