Monday morning came and Carter walked in the school with a candle. He put it in front of the school and walked inside. He had on his hoodie with his hands in his pockets. Most people were passing out flyers for the memorial assembly for Lucy. There was gonna be 2 weeks full of events to remember Lucy.

Amanda was sitting by Lucy's locker with tears flowing down her face. Carter sat down next to her and looked at all the flowers and bears around Lucy's locker. There was a big picture on Lucy's locker.

Please excuse this interruption,Carter Santiago and Amanda Roman please escort yourselves to Mr.Ross's office. Mr.Ross said into the loudspeaker. Amanda and Carter both got up slowly as everyone looked at them. They got to his office and they sat down. There were 2 cops standing beside Ross.

Carter...Amanda...this is the time to let out what happened that day after school! So that whoever did this to Lucy could be put away. Everything you know...everything you think! Anything. Just something to get the cops to get an idea of who could have possibly done this to Lucy! Ross said.

Let's start with pass history! Did Lucy have any enemies...people who might have hated her? The officer asked. These two boys,Nick Dolan and Raymond Jefferson! They liked Lucy since Freshman year. She let them down easy because she was interested in Carter! Amanda said with a tear flowing down her face. Carter was shaking his leg,replaying the sight of Lucy getting shot and her in his arms.

Did they have any intentions on hurting her? The officer asked. Yes! Carter spoke up! Why? The officer asked. Because she didn't choose them! She chose me! Carter yelled. Calm down Carter. Ross said. Are there any other people who possibly hated her!? The officer asked. Yes! Maddie Garcia,Bethany Young,and Alison McCarthy. They had this huge crush on me at some point and Lucy was my girlfriend! They hated her since the day she became my girlfriend! So they wanted her gone! Carter said.

Tell us what happened that day after school! The officer said. Me and Lucy were going to my house and Raymond and Nick grabbed us up and took us into an alley. Raymond held my mouth shut so I wouldn't scream! Nick had Lucy by her mouth so she wouldn't scream! Amanda said. Where were you in all of this?! The officer asked Carter. I was in Football practice! Carter said. So how did you find out Lucy and Amanda was in danger? The officer asked. Because Maddie,Bethany,and Alison came to me like they were trying to help me and they told me Nick and Raymond had Lucy and Amanda and I left practice! Carter said. What was their point of telling you? The officer asked. So I could watch her die! Carter said.

So when you got there,what was happening! The officer asked. I was running and Nick took a gun out and placed it on Lucy's head! He pre pulled the trigger. Carter said. So you stopped! The officer said. Yes! I tried to convince him to shoot me. But he said that I wouldn't go through the pain he wanted me to go through. He started to rub the gun around her head!! Carter said. What did he say to make him shoot her! The officer asked. He said "you deserve pain and I'm gonna give it to you!" His hand began to wiggle around the trigger! I watched Lucy sob and cry! And then he pulled the trigger! HE PULLED THE STUPID TRIGGER!!! Carter yelled banging on Ross' desk. Ross stood up and walked behind Carter. It's okay man! It's okay! Ross said rubbing Carter's head.
