Two days after the last chapter.

Marinette's POV

"Morning, Baby." I say gently shaking the small blonde awake, I smile when he sleepily rubs his eyes gazing up at me with shining green orbs. "Hey sleepy head are you hungry?" I ask picking him up and resting him on my left hip swaying a little causing him to giggle at the motion. "Tikki?" I call out before seeing her float in front of my face, I smile "Is Plagg awake?" she nods with a smile gracing her face at the thought of the cat kwami "Come down then and I'll get you both some food." she nods flying to get collect the other. I walk down to the kitchen leaving the doors behind me when I get there I pull together some breakfast for me and Adrien before grabbing a cookie for Tikki and cheese for Plagg.

Once we have all eaten I decide to watch a film to entertain the two babies and to show Tikki some of the new films that have come around, as well as the improvements in film making. I sit Adrien on top of a pillow while in pile some more so that the Kwamis have some where to sit and will be able to see clearly I then crouch by the TV looking through the film choices, making sure they're age appropriate, I finally decide on 'Alice in Wonderland' so I put it in then spin around joining the other three on the sofa, I curl my legs under me then pull Adrien into my lap and cuddle him close as it starts.

Adrien's POV

I like this girl, she said she's not my mummy but she is looking after me. I think I've met her before but I'm not sure as everything is blurry. Mari. She told me to call her Mari because her really name was too hard for me to say. I really love Mari. After she wakes me up she puts me on her hip and sways a bit making me giggle because it feels funny. She then talks to the red thing, Tikki I think, before taking me downstairs and giving me some food. After a little while Mari takes me into another room sitting me on a soft pillow next to where she put me she puts more pillows in a high tower. Mari starts to walk away and I panic is she leaving me? Did I do something wrong? Just before I start to cry I see her put something into a strange box then she comes back to me, yay I smile at her. Mari pulls her legs under her then picks me up and cuddles me in her lap. I feel so loved, I really love Mari.

The thing we watch is really funny, I like the cat he's very funny. I can't stop the sounds of happiness that escape my lips as I clap and jump slightly on Mari's lap. When it finishes I turn to face Mari and throw my little arms around her neck making her laugh softly and pull me closer. Mari kisses my forehead gently as she lets me go so I kiss her cheek. "Love Mari." I tell her proudly, she goes red and replies back to saying "I love you too, my little kitty."

Marinette's POV

All through the film Adrien sits in my lap - he laughs, giggles, claps and jumps - when it ends he turns to face me then wraps his tiny arms around my neck causing me to laugh softly while I hug him closer. He is such a sweetheart, my little Adrien, My kitty. I pull away a little bit then press a gentle kiss on his forehead. Adrien shocks me slightly as he puts a kiss on my cheek and says "Love Mari." proudly. I feel my cheeks gain colour, he may be a child but he is my crush and he has just said he loves me, quickly pushing aside the shock I reply with "I love you too, my little kitty." I see his whole face light up as I say those seven simple words. His green eyes seem to brighten and glow as happiness radiates off the boy. I look at the time and realise that it is getting very late. "Time for dinner." I tell the boy as he smiles and claps.

I change Adrien into a pale blue set of pyjamas with a little monkey on the top. I then decide to read him, Plagg and Tikki a story. I pull a small blanket from my bed, wrapping it around Adrien and call the kwamis over. I have Adrien lay across my lap his head resting on my chest, Tikki has Plagg in a similar position as she rests in Adrien's lap leaning back on my stomach. I decide to read the story of 'the magic porridge pot' as I finish the story I see I have three people, ones I care about, fast asleep on me. What do I do now? As if reading my mind Tikki wakes up smiling at me then flies to her bed. What would I do without her? I take myself and Adrien up to my bed where I cover him to make sure he's warm enough. I quickly join him in the land of dreams.

I blink looking around confused I feel like I've no sleep, I look at the clock and realise it's three in the morning. What woke me up at this time? Then I hear it slightly muffled but clear enough to hear.

"Adrien?" I say groggily as I turn to see the boy I've been instructed to care for crying "Hey, shush, it's okay. I'm here. You're safe." I keep repeating as I softly rock the blonde in my arms and wipe his tears away from his soft, red cheeks. He soon begins to sniffle instead of sob.

"M-Mari. I was scared. I thought you were going to l-leave me." As he tells me why he was crying I hear and feel my heart shatter. I pull him close and try to show him that I will never leave him.

"I will always be here. If you ever need me I'll be there." I tell him, gently drawing shapes and patterns on his back hoping to provide comfort. Once he is full settled I decide to lie him down with me. I then begin to softly sing "Hakuna Matata! What a wonderful phrase. Hakuna Matata! Ain't no passing craze. It means no worries for the rest of your days. It's our problem-free philosophy. Hakuna Matata!" I end up singing this a few more times but eventually both of us fall asleep.
