I had just moved to Los Angeles from Minnesota about three weeks ago. Although I kept to myself quite regularly, I had managed to make two friends, Ryan and Matt.

I was still unpacking and getting everything in my new apartment set up when there was a knock on my door. "That's weird," I thought to myself. "I didn't invite Ryan or Matt over today, and no one else has my address..."

I quickly finished putting my dishes in the cupboard and straightened out my shirt before checking through the peephole to see who it was.

A man I had never seen before stood there, twiddling his thumbs. He had glasses, black hair on the sides and red hair on top, which I thought was very attractive. I shrugged and opened the door.

He smiled and I immediately felt at ease.

"Hi, I'm Mark! I just moved in three doors down and I'm going around introducing myself to everyone," the man, whom I now knew as Mark, introduced himself.

"Hi there! I'm Y/N, and I just moved in as well.. Well, I moved in about three weeks ago, but I still count that as just moving in!" I rambled, blushing as he chuckled.

"It's very nice to meet you, Y/N."

We stood there looking at each other for about two minutes before I broke the silence.

"Would you like to come in?" I asked quietly.

"I-I don't want to impose or anything..." he stuttered.

"Oh god please come in, you're so cute!" I thought to myself.

"Oh no, you wouldn't be imposing at all! I was just about to make some coffee if you'd like some," I offered as I opened the door wider and turned to go into the kitchen, hearing him closing the door and smiling to myself.

I began brewing some coffee as Mark sat down at the bar, looking around at all of my decorations.

He whistled lowly to himself.

"You really like Supernatural, don't you?" He chuckled.

I blushed as I handed him a mug that had Dean Winchester's face on it with the words, "I love pie," written on it.

"Whatever would give you that idea?" I laughed as I sat down beside him.

We sipped our coffee in silence for a few moments before Mark spoke again.

"So, you said you had just moved in three weeks ago?"

I smiled to myself and turned to face him. "Yeah, I just moved from Minnesota. The temperature difference is crazy!" I exclaimed while he chuckled and took another swig of his coffee.

"What about you, Mark? Where did you move from?" I asked as I rested my chin on my hands and leaned forward.

"Cincinnati. I figured it was time for a change in scenery," he replied as he turned to face me as well.

I finally realized that his eyes were a beautiful shade of chocolate brown. They were so warm and friendly. I could stare into them all day. They matched his tan skin. His glasses framed his face very well, too. I was never a fan of glasses, but he wore them well. His scruff was nice as well. But his smile. Oh, his smile. His teeth were perfectly white and straight, and his deep, rumbling laugh caused his smile to show and his eyes to crinkle up. God, I could spend all day looking at him...

"...Y/N?"

"Huh?" I shook my head, freeing myself from my inner thoughts.

I looked up to see Mark smirking at me, and I immediately felt my face heat up.

"I asked where your bathroom was, but if you want to keep staring at me, you can." He chuckled and I blushed even harder.

"Oh, uh, yeah, it's uh, over here," I mumbled, standing up and leading him over to the bathroom. He brushed past me and our arms grazed each other and I shivered at the contact.

I returned to my seat at the bar and waited.

I heard the bathroom door open and Mark came walking over to me and leaned over the counter.

I looked up at him, confused.

"As much as I enjoyed you staring at me," I immediately felt my face become beet-red again, "I have to get going,"

I stood up and walked Mark to the door.

He opened the door and turned around to face me.

"I had fun, Y/N. We'll have to do this again," Mark said as he winked and walked out of my apartment, leaving me flustered and blushing like mad.
