Time To go Shopping!

~Melanie's POV~

I lift up my sweat shirt in the mirror and look at the tiny bump i have growing. I'm 18 weeks now so of course i'm starting to show. You can definitely tell i'm expecting now. My clothes barely fit, except for sweat shirts and baggy shirts; which i luckily have alot of. But the problem is, i don't know how long they'll last. Ugh, time for maternity shopping. I place my hand on my bump. "You're a big baby aren't you? And you're only going to get bigger."

"wow." Ian says. I didn't notice he was in the doorway.

"I know."

He walks up to me and places his hand on my stomach. "That's our baby."

"Yep, growing alot too."

"Well that just means he or she is healthy."

"Yeah!" I smile. "We're getting so close."

"They'll be here before we know it."  I look in the mirror again, we looked like such a cute little family; which we technically are. I put my sweatshirt back down. "Hey, are you feeling any better?" He asked. "I heard you throwing up last night. I would've helped but even i'm not that good with vomit."

"Yes alot, thank you." I say.

"I came in here to tell you i made breakfast, want any?"

"Sure." We walk out to the living area and Ian goes to the kitchen. He prepares our food for us.

"Here's your plate madam." He says.

"Why thank you good sir" I say back.

I go and sit at the table. Ian comes to sit next to me. While we ate we just talked and talked and talked. It was just like when we were together. I get up and get another plate. "Hungry?" He chuckled.

"Hey i'm eating for two." I say.

Just then Mari and Kalel walk in. "Hey guys" Mari said "Mel, why are you not ready?"

"Ready for what?" I asked.

"We are going to take you maternity shopping" Kalel answered.

"Oh great, another way of saying I'm fat"

"You're not fat, you're pregnant!" Kalel tried to cheer me up. I give her a death stare.

"Just go and get dressed, we're gonna try and make this as fun as possible."

"Fine, just hold on" I put my dirty plate in the sink and go to my room. I put on one of Ian's shirts, since mine don't fit, and yoga pants. In the store we didn't find anything I liked. I'm sorry maternity clothes are just ugly. Luckily Kalel was there and found a few things I would wear. I changed out of Ian's shirt and put on one that I bought. We stopped by the food court before we left.

"So are you and Ian getting back together or?" Mari questioned.

"No, were not getting back together" I answered.

"Why i think he still loves you. Why else would he stick around and let you live with him."

"He's only being nice to me because I'm having his baby. Otherwise than that I don't see how he could still like me. I mean I was the one who broke his heart in the first place."

"Oh come on Mel I know you still love him. But why did you guys break up?" Kalel asked.

"He kept on thinking I was cheating on him with a coworker. He never believed me when I said I was working late. I didn't like how he couldn't trust me. Let's just get going I'm kind of tired."

"Ok, let's go then" Mari suggested.

They drop me off at the house and i walk in. The first thing i see is Ian on the couch with his laptop. "Hey i'm back." I say.

"Hey how was maternity shopping?" He asked.

"Eh ok, it's just maternity clothes are so ugly." I reach into one of the bags and grab Ian's shirt. "You can have this back." I throw it at him and it lands on his head.

"Why did you take my shirt?"

"I left with it on."

"Did it fit?"

"The top was baggy but the stomach area fit fine."

"Now i feel fat."

"Then go to the gym again if you feel out of shape."

"I hate going to the gym alone."

"Maybe i'll go after the baby's born. By the way he or she's growing i'm definitely going to need it. So what are you looking at?"

"Just checking out car seats and strollers."

"Really?" I sit down next to him.

"Well we want the little guy to be safe don't we." He say, placing his hand on my stomach.

"Are we getting them now?"

"I think so, but it's up to you."

"Yeah, maybe we should buy gender neutral just in case."

"Most of them are already so that won't be a problem."

"Oh, i like that one! It comes with both."

"Should we get it?"

"I think we should." He added it to our cart and took out his credit card. He put his card number in and hit buy. "Do you want me to pay you back?"

"No, Mel it's fine. It's my baby too so i'm going to be buying alot of stuff for him or her."

"Are you sure? you've already done so much."

"I'm sure. Now i believe we have an episode of the regular show to watch."

"What! Turn it on!"

He turns on the TV and turns on the regular show, which we record every episode of. "Wait pause it, i forgot snacks." He gets up and goes to the freezer, taking out two different cartons of ice cream. "Chocolate for me, and vanilla for you."

"Is mine lactose free?"

"Yes."

"Yes! I've been craving Ice Cream for that past two hours. I don't even care if it's only four." He pulls out two bowls. "Just bring the cartons over."

"Ok." He picks up both and sits back down. He hands me mine and unpauses the TV.
