Anna's defence mechanisms were telling her to run. Fast.

She chose to ignore them maybe it was her own pride or maybe it was something else but her feet were gliding closer to the wolf, much to her semi-conscious mind's annoyance, this was only making the shrill humming she had been running from for the last few restless days and nights stronger.

However, there was nothing, no power on earth that could stop Anna's feet. Not even the now awake wolf rising to it's feet slowly, clumsily and well, gracelessly. Not even the ferocious  growl-like yawn which escaped his mouth. Not even the fact the wolf was now stalking towards her looking, a little less than pleased to be woken from from his mid-afternoon slumber.

The pair came to a stop about three or four inches in front of each other, their noses almost touching, both holding their breath, willing one another to do something but they both remained rooted in the spot they stood.

No movement.

No sound.

Just the buzzing so intense they couldn't concentrate on anything, their surroundings were a blur. Suddenly it all became to much for Anna and her feet fell from under her.

Just as quickly Wolf stretched out so she fell into his cosy,  mud brown fur instead of the ground.

As Anna tumbled on to Wolf's back something strange happened.

The buzzing stopped.
