Being back in the table with Marcos, I felt calmer than half an hour ago. Meeting Javier lifted my spirit a little bit. I stared at my plate, remembering what happened minutes ago.

"Hey, let me give you my number", Javier said.

"Te acabo de conocer y ya me quieres dar el cel? (I just met you and you already want to give me your number?" I said giggling. This guy.

"Yeah, so you can text me anytime", he said, "text me whenever you want someone to talk to, I'll always respond fast for your advance", he said looking into my eyes and flashing a sincere smile on his face.

I put his cellphone number on my contacts and added a ":)" emoji next to his name.

"I got to get back to my table", he said while slowly turning around, when he was almost leaving, he glanced at me from his shoulder and mumbled, "Fue un placer conocerte" and disappeared in the crowd of tables and chairs.

"Hey", someone said next to me, and I woke up from the trance I was. I looked to my right, finding Marco staring at me, with, surprise surprise, worried eyes.

"Are you okay?", he asked me while sipping his red wine.

"Um...yeah, I'm just really tired from all the work at school" , I said, thinking of how this was the first time he acknowledged how I felt today.

"You see Patrick, managing partner business have advantages and disadvantages", Carlos conversed with Marco's other friend Patrick, and Michael. Their girlfriends were all in her phones, probably texting side fuckboys. Perras.

"Hey Naty", the girl next to Patrick said, capturing my attention and surprise. Now she decides to acknowledge my existence. And by the way, she has NO RIGHT to call me Naty, only the people I trust are allowed to recite my nickname.

She had a caramel blonde hair tied in a ponytail. Her wrists were covered with silver bracelets and in her neck she had a black velvet choker.

"Yes?", I asked, wondering what she wanted all of a sudden.

"I was wondering where did you got that dress, it's really classy", she asked with a tone I recognized as sarcastic, eyeing my red dress.

"By classic you mean old classy right?", the girl next to her whispered to another one. They both laughed quietly.

I looked straight at her and said, "Veronica right?", trying to hold back what was coming.

"It's Jessica", she said rolling her eyes.

"You see, your name has not been mentioned at all. Nobody introduced you, meaning you are nothing but a..."

"Stop Natalia", Marcos said and moved my arms out of the table.

The rest of the meal, I ate quietly while I saw how Patrick and Jessica were arguing in a corner away from us. After the incident, she obviously claimed him why she wasn't introduced. I glanced at the other people at the table for a second, and when I looked back at them, they were literally eating each other.

"Gross", I said, deciding to finish my pasta.

"You would had done that with Marcos once", my subconscious whispered inside my mind. It was not wrong, but I was sure as hell it was not right too. I knew I had to be true to myself at some point, and that breaking point was coming soon.

Sooner than what I thought.
