Episode Fourteen:
MIGHT HAVE TO KILL SOMEONE

We got to the game a bit later than Sean and I had expected, and most of the bleachers were filled to the brim with disinterested girlfriends, their friends, and the friends of the football players. Anyone who was anyone came to the football games, because their friends would all mesh together and somehow be connected to someone at the game. The student body was bathed in the school colors cheering on our team for their final game of the season.
The game to put them out of their misery in my opinion.
"Hey, you gonna find the seats?" Asks Sean, pulling his hood over his head as the wind begins to pick up around us, bring hair into faces, and hands into pockets as the temperature dropped.
"Yeah, I got it," I answer, "You heading to concessions or Teresa?"
He responds with a wink, and that's all the info I need to get a move on.
It's been a few hours since I was last with Fawn in the car, and to be fair not much has happened. I dropped her off after it was all said and done, nothing escalated, and I didn't particularly want it to.
Not in a car. Not today.
She deserves better than that.
She exited the car not fast, but definitely not slow as it was chilly outside and it was impossible to stand out there for longer than a few minutes with no coat and survive. Just standing out there for a few seconds could lead a person to believe frostbite would be stealing their last breath in a moments notice. Once inside, I drove away and checked back into my room, that isn't really my room anymore.
Sat on the bed watching TV, eating whatever I stashed in my car from the gas station down the street. There was a few packages of Sour Patch Kids, OREOs, chips, you name the junk food and I got my hands on it. It's kind of what I've been living on for the past week. Probably should hit the gym if I don't want to end up gaining more than ten pounds this month. Hopefully by the end of the month I'll be done with this though.
Yeah, by December I'm hoping to be able to not be an intruder in my own bedroom. Maybe get a place in Fawn's apartment building. I can't do it now or she'd flip her shit, but – I can't keep hiding forever. On top of that Margo would most likely have my ass, or be fired by then. Whichever comes first I guess.
Walking up through the narrow walkways caving in on the sides from people being pushed I eventually can spot her. Fawn. She's up at the very top with Dakarai Mass, the far more likable Mass brother.
May be rude, but it's the truth.
Fawns up on her tip toes, arms flailing as she cheers on the team. Matt Kaiser tries to throw the ball, but can't seem to get in a good position despite the wide receiver – Mass. Of course, he's here. Go figure.
I look back up to Fawn who's continuing to cheer on the team, all with a huge goofy smile on her face, and an equally as ridiculous Dakarai bumping up next to her as they mock the team through their awful chants.
"Hey Fawn!" I yell out, and she doesn't hear me until Dakarai, lightly shoves her shoulder and points to me. Her smile seems to relax a bit, not as wild as before, but still beautiful.
