Tyler's POV

My fur is bristled and ready for attack while my mate tells our finest Warriors the plan for attack. Her voice is clear and commanding, the true nature of a Queen, of someone who belongs by my side in commanding hundreds of thousands of wolves.

"Do not get hit by any bullets. Avoid them at all costs. Let me talk to them first before you emerge."

"Luna, we mean no disrespect but we all refuse to let you be alone with those men." One of the Warriors speaks up.

Damn right.

They understand the importance of my mate. They know how important she is to everyone and her being dead won't help. Especially since we are freshly mated.

"I understand. That's why I will-"

The doors slam open to reveal a grinning Jack. I feel my mate sigh in relief.

"You're late." She snaps causing the Omega to cringe.

"I'm sorry, Luna. Please forgive me."

I tilt my head to the side and look over Summer to see almost a protective aura around her. The dominate aura matches my own and that's when I realize that her Luna side has come out, ready to play.

"Do not shift until absolutely necessary." She commands.

Jack drops to a knee. "Understood, Luna."

Summer glares at him seconds longer before looking back to the Warriors. She nods once before her hand reaches to her side as if to make sure I'm there.

She stiffens slightly before I step forward to claim her side. Her body relaxes as a small sigh escapes her.

"My Queen, after you." I state.

She scowls and walks across the room as I trot beside her. Everyone follows behind. Some shifting and some in their human form while Jack follows last.

Omega is a birthright just like being an Alpha is. I can't change it even if I wanted to.

We move through the forest silently and I can feel the distress form Summer. I rub against her side to try and calm her but no success.

We slow as we hear the clamping if heavy footsteps. Summer's hold on my fur disappears while Jack takes postion slightly behind her.

"Ready, Luna." He whispers.

She nods and steps into the clearing, her movements tense and threatening. The shifted wolves circle around while I duck under a bush to view the area.

I see about eight men standing in a line while Summer and Jack stand in front of them.

"Do you know where you are, girl?" One of them asks.

"A forest. I heard you creeping up near my campsite so I had to check and see who was nearby." Summer speaks.

"What about lover boy?" They tease causing my blood to boil.

"Lover boy?" She asks, genuinely confused. "You mean Jack? My brother?"

"Brother?" They chuckle. "Sure. There is reports of dangerous animals here so I need you to vacate the areas."

"Oh, you're hunters too?" She asks. " why didnt you say so? I heard there was animals that most people don't see and there was a lot of deer. Maybe you can help me? I haven't seen any yet."

They look back and forth between each other. "You haven't found the town yet?"

Summer shifts and frowns. "Well, yeah, but what does that have to do-?"
