Chapter One

Naomi's POV

"As in now, dad? NOW?"

I'm currently on the phone with my dad. He says I'm going to the Philippines and live their for good. Like what? My LIFE is HERE in Paris. I grew here! I live here! I just cannot go back to the Philippines! Especially NOW!

"Yes baby. We've decided. You'll study college there."

UGH! Why does my life needs to be this complicated!

"But dad-"

"No buts Erika. At magtagalog ka na. Di magtatagal, kakailanganin mo ring magtagalog."

"Fine dad."

I'm gonna miss you Paris. I really will. Babalik ako dito. But now, I need to do something. "Dad, I need to say goodbye first"

"No need. I already asked Rain to fetch your friends."

A moment later, a black limousine stopped in front of me. My brother, Rain signaled me to say goodbye fast. Two girls and three guys got out of the limo.

"Oh I'm gonna miss you Erika! This is so sudden!" Stacey said hugging me.

"I know right! I'm gonna miss you too girl." I said.

"You call us okay?" Phoebe said.

"Of course."

"Oy Erika! Balitaan mo ko tungkol sa Pinas ah!" My other Filipino friend, Kent said.

"Oo na. Itetext kita." Sabi ko at niyakap siya. "Mamimiss kita Kent!"

Then, only one remains. My brother's on the phone and my friends went inside the limo.

"Dustin." I said. I'm starting to get teary-eyed.

He hugged tightly and whispered to my ear. "I'm gonna miss you so much, babe."

"Me too. I'm gonna miss you a lot."

"Promise, I'll wait for you."

"Please do. Don't get tired of waiting for me."

"I won't. I swear."

"I love you, Erika."

"I love you too, Dustin."

"Take care of yourself, okay?"

I was about to answer when my brother called me. A different limousine stopped in front of him. I let go of Dustin's hand and waved at my friends. I got it hte car, and we sped off.

"Ang bilis naman nito kuya." Sabi ko.

"Pasensiya na bunso. Biglaan nga to eh. At least summer sa Pinas sa susunod na linggo kaya makakapag enjoy tayo. Wag mo na nga rin pala alalahanin ang mga gamit mo dahil nandun na lahat sa airport. Tayo nalang ang hinihintay."

I just nodded.

Nang nakarating kami kaagad sa airport, nandun sina daddy. He gave us our tickets and we checked in our flight.

After half an hour, nasa loob na kami ng eroplano. Matagal pa naman bago kami makarating sa Pinas so let me introduce myself first.

My name is Erika Naomi Sanchez. My friends call me Naomi, and only a few calls me Erika. Including my bro and my parents. We live in Paris, where my parents are working. my dad is a well-known businessman and my mom was a former supermodel, so just guess where my brother and I got our looks.

Di pa ko pinapanganak, sa Paris lang kami. Kaso, nagtatagalog kami sa bahay kaya sanay ako kanhit wala kami sa Pinas. I'm sixteen years old. I'm currently one of the teen models here, but siguro di na yun mapapakinabangan kasi nga aalis na ko.
