Third Person's POV

It was halfway through your school year and winter break just finished so it was that season where you just wanted to cuddle.

You woke up to the sound of your mom's lovely yelling.

That was the best alarm you ever invested in.

"(Y/N) wake yourself up or else I'll pour water on you."

"I'm up. I'm..." You trailed off closing your eyes not finishing your sentence.

"(Y/N)."

"..."

"(Y/N)."

"..."

"WAKE UP" your mom yelled. " I was already up I just.. You know..."

You slowly lifted your eyelids just to face your clock which read 7 o'clock. You had a quick second to think.

School starts at 7:15.

You jumped out of your warm bed to the cold bathroom to start your morning routine but at a quicker pace.

As many as your friends can tell, you're a lazy procrastinator that doesn't know what on earth you're going to do with your life.

You put on a random hoodie from your collection with a pair of skinny jeans under. You put your hair up in a real ass messy bun. No, I'm not talking about those Pinterest looking ones, I'm talking about the ones you do in 30 seconds.

You grabbed your backpack and coat and rushed out of the house. You said goodbye then gave a quick peck on your mom's cheek.

(Y/N) POV

Man, I really screwed up and it's not even Monday! So much for starting the junior year with a perfect attendance. The commute to school is usually a 20-minute walk, but since I'm running, I'll be there in 12-ish minutes.

I felt a buzz go off in my back pocket so I grabbed my phone while still running. I look down at my phone but then I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist that stopped me from running.

"Why are you running brat?" the familiar voice asked.

"Isn't it obvious? We're going to be late for class Levi. Wait. What are you doing here? You're never late, you're usually the one that's always first at school!" I asked confused at his behavior.

I let go out of his grasp still stunned at what he just did. I looked at how he was dressed and It was not the usual OCD Levi that I knew. His hair was all messy and was acting up on him. Still, he looked good without trying which is why he's so popular at school.

"Tch, my parents came back from a trip and made me stay up all night. I suppose you don't have an excused reason why you're late." he hissed.

"Damn. I don't get how we're still friends since 3rd grade."

He tensed up and stopped dead in his tracks.

Crap I messed up didn't I?

'I'm sorry I didn't mean to say it that way." looping my arm his arm. He avoided my gaze like a kid giving their mom the silent treatment.

Man, I'm going to regret this later on in my life.

"Fine, I'll give you my cookie and chips for lunch."

"Deal," he said while smirking at me "and I'll forgive you.

"In the inside, I cry. All around me are familiar fa-"

"Shut up," he says in such a monotone way.

"Make me."

"What?"

"YOU GOT A HOLD OF ME, DON'T EVEN KNOW YOUR POWER." I sing on the top of my lungs while running towards the school.

"Not that damn song again."

I start laughing while pacing myself just to make sure that I don't trip or stumble. I quickly glanced back to find Levi running behind me.

"THE SCHOOL IS SAFE GROUNDS," I say getting closer and closer to school. Once I got to school I looked back to see if Levi was coming. He was nowhere in sight. How could that be I was positive that he was right behi-

"Beat ya here. You are so late. Come on, I'll drop you off to first period." I hear from behind.

First period.

I couldn't help but feel my chest hurt a little. It wasn't the class that sucked but a person that you cared for so dearly. Even though you guys were over. You weren't over him.
