After Zander left I hauled my book bag up on my bed to study. I opened it and grabbed my economics book, knowing that, no matter how tired I was, I had to study at least a page or two. The words on the pages scrambled in my mind as I read through them, but after a few rereads of the same paragraphs, I managed to actually understand what the page was about. After about 30 minutes of studying I decided to change into pajamas and try to sleep. Today had been a long day and I needed to rest. I hoped that tomorrow would be less eventful. Three days in a row of surprises would most likely give me a heart attack. I then drifted to sleep, embracing the darkness of slumber.
I woke up and couldn't move my body. I felt like I was tied up, and I couldn't see anything due to a rough blindfold covering my eyes and part of my nose. I then heard a heated argument going on around me, and the voices were coming at me from all directions.
An eerie sounding voice erupted, "HAHAHAHAHA!! One move boys and she gets it!"
"Let her go!" Zander shouted.
"Z-Zander?!"
He continued shouting like he didn't hear me, "Come on, chicken shit! Fight us like a real man!"
"Like you scare me, Zander! COME ON! Take one step. I DARE you!" The voice taunted.
"Zander! Go get Kayla! I'll take care of this fool!" Elijah swore.
As soon as the words reached my ears I heard a full fight break loose. There were lots of grunting and slapping sounds. I then heard someone or something get smacked onto hard ground. I became worried it was Zander and started to cry. Suddenly I felt myself get pulled to one side and the thing tying me fall off. Strong arms became wrapped around my body, they were Zander's arms.
Zander whispered in my ear, "I've got you, don't worry."
As I was held in a tight embrace, I felt the world around me once again settle into a low peaceful hum. I still couldn't see anything, but I knew I was safe in Zander's arms. He rocked me comfortingly and told me to open my eyes.
Slowly, my eyes fluttered open and I looked up at the real person who was holding me back in my bedroom.
"B-Blake?!" I shrieked.
I stared into the eyes of Blake. His face was painted with worry and concern, and I knew he must of seen my dream. Why did I dream of Zander holding me, though?
"You can't control your dreams," Blake stated. "And you usually dream about people protecting you who you feel like you can trust. You were in trouble and you wanted Zander to protect you, so he did."
"I guess that makes sense." I felt a bit embarrassed.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine. What time is it?"
"It's 9 AM. Lucas and I were making breakfast when I started hearing your dream."
"You can't control your mind-reading?"
"No. Not yet, at least. I hope to learn eventually, though."
I started getting paranoid about Blake making fun of me for dreaming about Zander. It didn't seem like something Blake would do, but that didn't stop my paranoia from making me worry.
"I wouldn't make fun of you for dreaming, like I said, you can't control your dreams. Also, I won't tell Zander. They're your dreams and they're personal, I wouldn't of intruded if I knew how." Blake reassured me.
I felt my chest release it's tightness allowing me to breathe normally again. Lucas then knocked on the open door and entered my room.
"Is everything alright?" Lucas asked.
