The group stood in awe and wonder as they felt a presence like none they had ever experienced before.
From the north, near a forest, an alpha she-wolf sauntered to them and stopped in front of Riko. She was easily four foot tall head to paw. She was as white as pale moonlight and her eyes, grey as the sky after a storm. The wolf sniffed around Riko and growled approvingly. Riko tentatively reached down and petted her mane of messy fur.
"Hello boy. I am your master. I will be training you in our ancient arts. My name is Fenrir and that is what you may call me."
They were all still marveling over Fenrir when a dark shadow cloaked in a hooded robe of scarlet taffeta slowly made its way to them. He came from the East, a dark stretch of mountain ranges. His bloody cloak covered all but his black booted feet. He kept walking until he reached Rylem. Rylem stood in a kind of fear and bowed awkwardly . The creature in the hood chuckled lightly.
"All the formalities are unnecessary. I am Mordred. I will be ice-eyes master. I too will be teaching the ancient and mythical ways of Magic."
Mordred moved beside Rylem, who's eyes lit up with pure excitement thinking about his training.
While they all gawked at Mordred another figure bigger than Fenrir galloped from the West, near the sea. As it came closer it grew until it was well as tall as a small house. It was a unicorn as black as midnight. He was as muscular as a Clydesdale. His wizened grey eyes shown as he came, now slowed to a trot, right up to to Sära. Cäri started to reach for Sära fearing she might get frightened.
"It is OK young one the child is not afraid. I shant hurt her. My name is Or'Mashni. I am to be the little ones master in this world. Teaching her not to fear all things and honing skills that we will be teaching her soon."
His polished ivory horn gleamed in Sära's eyes and they saw a happiness in her big almond eyes they had never seen before. Sära, being full of childish innocence, didn't think of respect nor fear first. she just reached up an stretched her arms out wanting to hug him. Instead of rejecting her he leaned down and nuzzled her neck and returned all the love and affection she gave him with all the love and patience of the most experienced grandfather.
They all shared smiles at the sweet site, then quickly turned to the south, near an island with many waterfalls, as thumps started to ring in their ears the band looked up to see a dragon with scales the color of fresh new snow, with little flecks of sapphire mixed in on his wings. His eyes too shone of that precious jewel. He was a magnificent sight to behold. all the way from his pearly fangs to his spiked tail. He landed with one final thump and looked to the last one without a master.
"Hello fire-hair. I am Dysis your master and I will teach you many wondrous things. Magic, patience, and even self control you are lacking."
Cäri's eyes filled with shock and at the same time amazement, but also a slight anger that flashed, then was gone as soon as it had come. She curtsied and Dysis lowered his snout to her brow and caressed it then slowly lifted his head back up. Something also flashed in his eyes but it too disappeared.
