Cäri awoke upon a bed softer then she was used to and hearing running water nearby. She looked around confused for a moment and then recalled the events of the previous day. A tear trickled down her face and she quickly wiped it away. Her mind reeled as she though of what had happened to her and her companions. She felt a twinge of anger at the recollection. She felt ager for being taken against her will, for being placed with masters that she had to follow, but most of all anger at being told she could not leave till she did something she did not want to do. She made up in her mind right then she would do whatever it took to get out of there. At that moment she heard a thump ringing in her ears. It had so much force that it hurt her. She opened the doors to her balcony and saw a white face with dazzling blue eyes hovering right beside the ledge.
"Hello child. Today we train."
"Why!? Don't I even get a days real rest before I must go and train for whatever it is that we must do here in this land?"
"Not with me as your master. The others might get to be lazy but I won't allow it. Now are you prepared to follow my instructions?"
Cäri groaned her frustration. This is worse than school at St. Joseph's.
"Yeah I guess."
"That's more like it. Now what I want you to do is go to the oceans edge and you will find a dock there will be a boy waiting for you there. His name is Thorin. He will bring you across to my island where we will begin our training. And please put on something more appropriate. You will find clothing in the closet over there and shoes in the floor also."
"Yes sir." She said in a mocking tone and he flew away and she walked over to find what was in the little room. She opened the door and her mouth flew open and so saw every girls dream inside that one small space. There were so many dressed of different styles and shapes. she wanted to go in and try them all on and just make a day of it but she knew she could not. She still couldn't resist the urge to play around for a moment and look. She found ball gowns with corsets and many colors. She found plain everyday dressed, which she guessed, was for her training sessions. Lastly she found a suit of metal studded leather armour in the back it had a fierce beauty and she was so drawn to it it kind of scared her. She saw a Gown of golden silk and then another of orange taffeta and many other kinds. She finally settled on a plain green cotton dress with a loose black belt and black shoes. She walked over to the vanity where she found a brush made of silver that had been coated with a layer of red gloss. Trying to find something to put her hair up with she opened the drawers and found a net of black onyx pearls and put her fire-like locks up into it. She inspected her image in the mirror. When she was satisfied she maneuvered her way through the room and walked down the stairs and left the house.
She made her way to the back of the house and took in all the sights of this magical world they had found themselves in yesterday. She saw Faeries flitting all around her as she walked in the valley. She searched the heavens and found Pegasus' soaring over everything. These sights all made her smile.
I might could see myself living here. It's beautiful, peaceful, and pure magick.
Cari thought for a moment and seriously considered a life in this land. Too bad her contemplation ended when she remembered she was brought here against her will and was being forced to stay.
If they want to keep me here they are going to have to deal with this teenager's attitude!
And with that she began to walk towards the oceans edge to the boy who was to take her to Dysis.
When she finally arrived there she saw a figure sitting with it's legs over the edge of the pier and splashing in the water.
Wow how immature. What is he six?
