"Babe, I'm not angry. I'm just wondering why the dog is walking around with a fucking nappy on?" I yell through the house as I stomp my way downstairs.
I giggle softly when I bump into Camila at the bottom step, wrapping my arms around her to steady her before pecking her cheek lightly.
"Oh, about the nappy thin-"
"Do you look like babe? I'm babe. Fall back." Dinah quickly interrupted the smaller girl, pulling me away from Camila and wrapping me in her arms.
"Calm down hot stuff." I chuckle, placing a soft kiss on her lips.
"Us being together has never stopped her from kissing you." She mumbled against my lips which just made me roll my eyes and push her away from my lips slightly.
"That was four years ago." I reminded the Tongan.
"I'm still in the room." Camila reminded us chirpily. "Oh, and Lauren got to the dog. You would've thought that she would use the nappy on her own son and not the dog." She muttered more to herself.
"I'll go get her." I announce, seeing the relief on their faces when I volunteered.
I walk out of the house, already knowing where she was. As soon as I step foot outside, I spotted the head of raven hair and smiled. I skipped over, plopping myself down next to her on the grass and watch her silently as she tickled her small son in her arms.
"He looks like a hairless cat." She stated, slowly running her fingers over the small wrinkles on his forehead.
"He's cute. You and Zendaya did well." I comment with a grin.
"He's wrinkly. I thought only old people were wrinkly. I didn't know Zendaya was going to give birth to a midget grandpa."
"I think the correct term is baby, not midget grandpa." I try to correct the girl but before she could reply with another dopey comment, our names were being called from inside the house.
We both stood up and quickly made our way inside eagerly.
Ally was coming back home today.
Ally had left when we graduated high school and decided she wanted to join a church in another state and devote all her time praying or whatever she does. We have barely spoken over these four years but I'm glad she's back. I kind of missed waking up with my head resting on a bible because she used to steal my pillow and replace it with the holy bible.
As soon as we step foot inside I was greeted by a tight hug by tiny arms and I instantly knew it was Ally. Before I could even utter a word out to the small girl, she had already gone over to Lauren.
"I still can't get over the fact that out of everyone, Lauren and Zendaya are the ones who had the baby first." Ally chuckled to herself in disbelief, her wide eyes staring at the baby.
Who knew that the drug addict and the ambassador of the new prevention of drugs campaign would have a baby together and fall helplessly in love. That would be one twisted fanfiction moment that I would most likely read if it had smut in it.
"My thoughts are all on marrying my girl, not having kids." I shrug defensively.
Plus, I had always thought of my future as me being forever alone with around forty dogs to keep me company. That would've been a pretty good life, i must admit.
"Yeah, we know Y/N. You were always whipped." Zendaya laughs.
"What's the baby's name?" Ally puts a stop to Zendaya's teasing thankfully.
"Joe."
"Joe? Is that short for Joseph?" Ally questioned excitedly, poking at the baby's cheek.
"No, it's short for marijuana or as Lauren calls it, Mary Joanna. He's named after drugs and his mother pronounces his name as a woman's name. Identity crisis in the making."
"Don't force the gender. Mary Joanna could be a cute boy." Zendaya tried defending Lauren.
"We figured we should at least nickname him Joe to give him a decent name but Lauren decided to come up with her own nickname for him and now she won't stop call him weed." I turn back to Ally and shrug.
"I call him weedy." Zendaya states proudly.
"Yes, you do daddy and it's so cute." Lauren awed at her fiancé, handing the baby over to me before giving Zendaya a tight hug.
Zendaya passed out for a few hours after she gave birth so Lauren decided to name the baby herself. It clearly didn't turn out very well. The look on my auntie's face when she found out the name was priceless though, it almost makes up it.
"Baby, come cuddle." Dinah's small voice made it's way into the room causing my heart to flutter.
I turn around, my eyes set on the love of my life with the cheesiest grin on her face and her arms held out waiting for me to crawl in them. If only my younger self could see this moment. Dinah actually wanting me. Maybe younger me wouldn't of been so damn thirsty and desperate all the time for the Polynesian booty.
I quickly made my way over to the girl, pulling her up onto her feet instead of settling into her arms.
"It's dinner time." I remind her.
Food was more important.
We all trail over to the the table, digging right in.
I couldn't help the happiness I felt when Dinah grabbed my hand, kissing the back of it softly. I smiled even wider at the feeling of the ring in the back pocket of my jeans. We were going to get our fairytale. Our happy ending.
She's mine and that's all I could ask for.
