Chapter 12: Pisces

Ilana shook her head. She was trying to adjust to her surroundings. She had done a lot of travelling today. Too much, actually. 

She was in the school dorm room, along with her roommates. They were dazzled too. Everything was back to normal. 

She found a scroll nearby. She handed it to Leona, who read it.  

"Great Job, girls. You are learning how to harness your powers. Here I present towards you your tools. Use them wisely. By the way, Medusa's in safe hands now. More will be revealed soon. Signed, Z" 

The scroll then disintegrated, and out came twelve globs of magic, each carrying a tool. 

Ilana closed her eyes and grabbed hers, a shell. It was lovely.  

It was coloured a beautiful ultramarine and a violet.  

But Clover pierced her thoughts. "C'mon," she said, "It's lunchtime." 

Ilana followed her. They all went into the lunchroom and sat at table 12. They began to eat. 

"Blech, fish!" Heather complained, pushing her plate away. Ilana quietly munched on her fish. It was soft and salty. 

Roxy's plate was full of food. In the blink of an eye, it was all gone and Roxy was licking her fingers. 

Ilana didn't bother. Her eyes were fixed on the brightly lit chandelier above. 

She heard a beautiful ringing sound. Everybody was leaving. That's nice music, she thought. A weird sensation filled her arm. Someone was tugging at her arm. The force was pushing it back and forth, and back and forth, and back and forth, and back... 

"Ilana!" a voice interrupted her daydream, "wake up!" 

Ilana blinked and shook her head. 

"What?" she asked. Marceline was pulling her off the chair. 

"The bell's rung. We gotta go!" 

"Oh!" Ilana blurted. She ran and stopped at her room. She threw the door open and raced into the room. Her foot got stuck and she tripped over something. "Ow!" she shrieked. 

She looked around and found it. It was cold and shiny. It was hard, made of metal. It was heavy too. What was it? 

A beam of light shot out of it. Ilana dropped it in fear, closely missing her feet. She pulled the door shut. 

"Guys," she said, "I think I've found something here." 

"What?" Selene and Leona said at the same time. 

The beam of light morphed itself into the shape into the shape of a person. It was Zenith. 

"Zenith!" Ember said, "What happened?" 

Zenith looked very worried.  

"Girls," she said, "we have a big problem the enemy has attacked Virginia, the planet of Virgoans. They are in big trouble. They aren't exactly soldiers so you have to save them!" 

"How?!" Ilana asked. 

"You will be transported there shortly. Prepare yourselves!" 

"I summon the Guardian of Pisces!" Ilana shouted. 

She felt herself change. Her hair grew longer. Her uniform transformed into a shiny dress. Scales appeared on her arms and legs. 

She blinked the light away and saw that her friends were transforming too.  

She saw Clover sprouting horns and Paris' hair morphing into claws. And then she saw light. 

Wherever we are, she thought, whoever we fight, we will save the day!
