COME UNDONE

Episode # 1

I parted the curtains in a flash.

" Good Morning Ji Hun-nee " I wished cheerfully while he fidgeted on the bed under the covers.

" It's your first day of school! We don't want to be late now do we? " I said while taking out his uniform from the wardrobe.

He lazily rubbed his eyes and sat up on his bed.
" Come on let's brush your teeth " I said and he followed me into the bathroom with his hair a mess.

After that I put on his uniform, brushed his hair and took him downstairs for breakfast.

" Mommy are you going to pick me up after
school? " He asked while chewing the jammed bread.

" Yup I will " I said with a smile while filling his glass with milk. Hopefully work would be over by the time he'd be done from school. 

" Don't forget to finish your milk. You'll be needing all the energy you can get Ji-Hun " I told him after which he made a face.

" No excuses young man. " I told him and looked at the wall clock in the kitchen before getting his backpack from the living room.

I opened the car door for him and closed it after he seated himself. I got in myself and then headed to his school.

Judging from his gloomy face, he didn't seem so excited.

"Ji-Hun ah... I can understand you're nervous but at least try to look happy.  I'm sure you'll make many friends today."  I encouraged him and received a slight nod.

" Be nice to everyone alright? And study hard " I continued.

"And don't forget to take your lunch. Your lunch box is in the front pocket." He kept listening to my instructions quietly.

I had to admit, I was worried about him. Not because it was his first day but because he's not very open to new people which makes it hard for him to interact. I've tried motivating him but it still has no effect on him.

We stayed silent throughout the rest of the ride.

Soon the school arrived and I stopped the car and turned my face to the right on the passenger seat he was sitting on. He was looking at nothing but his feet.

" Ji-Hun Ah... " I trailed off waiting for him to look at me but he didn't.

"You're mommy's brave boy aren't you?" I asked him and he nodded.

" Promise me you'll be a brave today too. " I said.

" I promise. " He said in a faint voice and I gave him a warm smile before getting out of the car.

I held his hand and led him to the noisy classroom where all the little children were making merry.

Ji-hun hid behind my back and refused to meet all of them until I came across his teacher.

" Good Morning Miss Jia " She wished me and I greeted her back.

"So this is little Ji-hun?" She asked while kneeling down to his level.
