Wanheda Clark POV
I can't believe that Pike would try this again after what happened last time.
(Flashback 2 months ago)
I am walking around the camp doing my usual inspections when I over here Pike talking to one of my men about how I am not fit to lead our, and that I am a fool for trading with the grounders. After I was done listening to his garbage, I stepped out of the shadows.I am weak and a fool you say Pike? I said to him in a aggressive way. Clark he replied very surprised to see me. It's Wanheda I yell very loudly. Now give me one good reason as to why I shouldn't have you executed Pike. Wanheda I am sorry I didn't mean any disrespect, I just don't agree with why we must interact with the grounders for trade. We have better weapons, we could easily take them out and take what we want he finished. If it were that easy the mountain people would have already done it. They have army far bigger than ours, and even our weapons as advanced as they are, would not be able to stop an army of over a hundred thousand. Further more if you ever go behind my back and disrespect me again I will kill you understood I asked him. Yes Wanheda he replied sarcastically.
Flashback over
I am brought out of my thoughts by Lexa saying my name. Clark she said. Yes what is? Just making sure that you are ok. You looked like you were in thought, she said. I am fine Lexa I was just thinking that I should have dealt with him before instead of giving him a second chance I tell her. As leaders Clark we sometimes try to show a little bit of compassion now and then, but it is up to the person we give it to, to decide what to do with it, Lexa tells me while holding onto my shoulders. It is not your fault that he didn't heh your warning, and now he must pay the consequences for his actions. But should I kill him? I ask her. It depends do you want to show that you won't follow through with your threats or do you want show that you will follow through with your threats and to make an example of what happens when others defy you. I guess your right I must show the punishment for treason, I said to her.In the middle of the Camp 3rd POV
People of Arkedia we are gathered her by the order of the Wanheda to determine the fate of Pike for his charges of treason and conspiring against the Wanheda, Octavia announced to the crowed that has already begun to form around the center. Any last words Pike ask Clark.
You people are a fool for following her, she is just a kid and is not fit to rule our people. You are placing the fate of our way of life into the hands of a child. Pike finished and gave Clark a death glare. No yelled Octavia the fate of our people are not in the hands of a child but in the hands of our Wanheda. The crowed cheered when Octavia finished. Clark then pulled out her pistol and aimed it at Pike. She will be the death to us all was his last words before BANG!!!! Clark fired her gun and killed him instantly. Their it is finished now return to your duties and let this be lesson to everyone. If you defy me or conspire against me you will meet the same fate as Pike has Clark said to her people before returning to her throne room with Lexa right behind her.
At the Wanheda Throne Room
Clark POVExecutions are always the hardest, I said to her out loud with tears in my eyes. I will always hate to take life even if they deserve it. In battle it is easier to take a life than it is to take one of your own, said Lexa. The sad part is Clark is that eventually you will feel nothing and you will think that you don't care about your people. I had that problem after my 20th execution, I just shut off all feelings for the person that I was about to execute. It made it easier to deal with, Lexa finished. But you are not their yet Clark, and I can't tell you that this will be your one and only execution because their are bound to be more in the future, but I will always be here when you need me, Lexa tells me with her hand on my shoulder. Thanks Lexa I know that I can always count on you for help. Let's go to bed now Clark, it has been an interesting day and you must be tired, Lexa said to me. Yes I am thank you Lexa. I will see you in the morning Clark to discuss further matters, goodnight she says as she walks out and shuts the door behind her. I lay here thinking about what has happened today. Lexa returned and Pikes execution. What started off as a simple day turned into a crazy ride. I wonder what Lexa wants to discuss with me tomorrow. I hope it is good news because I really could use some great news right about now. I close my eyes and drift off to sleep, just thinking about her, the person I thought I would never see again.
