Chapter Five

Lexa POV (the next day)

I am awake and waiting for Clark in her Throne room with Indra, who I went to after Clark went to sleep. Bellamy allowed my people to sleep with in the safety of the camp as long as we surrender our weapons which is understandable since I do the exact same thing when outsiders visit our villages. As I stand here in thought when I hear someone coming. I turn around and see that it is Raven. Hello Raven of the sky people, I said to her. Commander she says with a bit of hatred in. I assume that she is still angry at me for ordering the death of that sky boy, Fin I think his name was. Which is understandable but blood must have blood that is our way. I look at as she appears to be fixing something. Once she is done she gets up with out saying a word and limps out her leg still messed up. And now I am alone again. I am trying to figure out how to convince Clark to join the Colilation and become the 13th Clan but I don't think she bow to me. Just then Clark walks into the room. Lexa I wasn't expecting you, how are you this morning she says to me. I wanted to discuss a few things with you I hope that's OK I replied. That's all right, let's get down to business then shall we she says. After I finish explaining to her that I wanted her and her people to join the coalition, we sat there and utter silence for what seemed like an hour.
Clark finally spoke up and said why should I join your people Lexa, you left mine for dead at the mountain I don't know if my people can trust you or your people after that. I did what I thought was best for my people Clark how far would you go to save your people I asked her. I wouldn't of done what you did, I would've tried to of found another way. Now tell me what benefit would I and my people get for joining your coalition? Clark ask me. First you would get protection from the ice nation and any other clan that wish to harm you and you'll be able to conduct trade with other clans as well. Why would I need your protection I have superior firepower Clark responded. You may have superior firepower but I have a larger army I could easily wipe out your pathetic camp. I replied but I did not mean for to sound like a threat but had no time to explain that because she pushed me up against the wall with a knife to my neck. You dare threaten me and my people. Said Clark. I did not mean for it to sound that way Clark, I just meant that a war between our people would be terrible on both sides. I agree Clark said letting go of me and put the knife back into her pocket. Then will you consider coming with me to Polis and talking to the other clans and maybe considering joining the coalition? I will Lexa, we leave at first light tomorrow and with that she went on to do her duties that she does every day for her people. I went back to Indra to tell her to be ready to move out at first light.
