Why Run?

Chapter 7

When it was morning I woke up to the smell of something going off. I checked the food pile. That must be it. I quickly grabbed the rodent at the bottom of the pile and started nibbling on it. Once I finished willow came in. But wait, there is another shadow, who is that she's bringing in with her.

Quickly Before they come in I turn human. 'Willow, what are you doing bringing a human in our cave?' I knew she was human because I could smell it. 'she wants to study the life living as a werewolf. She saw me and wondered if I had seen a werewolf around and since you're more experienced with it all she came by. She is also a journalist' I rolled my eyes.

"Her name is Maggie Falcon." She shook my hand and wiped her clean soft hands on her pants. "Yeah, so this is like your secret den?" She asked me "my cave actually, I found it, and called it home a couple of years ago." She quickly wrote in her notebook "uh huh so what do you eat?" I looked at the pile "normally fresh kill." She wrote some more in her notebook.

"Can you turn into a wolf?" She asked me looking at her notepad. "Uh, yes." She smiled and said "can you show us?" I was worried 'did you tell her that you're a werewolf too?' She shook her head and I rolled my eyes. "So do you two have this secret going on that I don't know about? Because you seem to be nodding and rolling your eyes a lot without speaking." I flinched "uh, yeah, about that see, willow here is also a werewolf and we can sort of mind-link each other like mind reading."

She wrote in her notebook "can you do it to humans or is it just werewolves." She asked "just werewolves." I answered "now back to my question, can you turn into your wolf please?" I nodded, went on all fours but before then she took out her iPhone out and probably took a video. "Thank you, you can change back now." She flicked a brown strand of hair off her face.

I stood up "so what do you usually do everyday, like what's your main job when you wake up? So like do you have a shower, fix your bed?" I then looked down "I haven't had a shower since two weeks because the creek only flows a lot in winter so I just eat a piece of meat then I go hunting right afterwards." I lied. She wrote in her notebook some more "I see. So what did you do to become a werewolf?" She asked me

"Um, I said three little words which I regret saying last year. So I ran away and came to live here." Still looking at her book she said "what words were they?" She asked "I don't really want to say it because willow here said it two days ago and that's how she became a werewolf, so I don't really want another mouth to feed." She sighed "so are you a rouge or in a pack?"

Isn't it obvious, I live alone with only one friend sometimes do you think I would have a pack? "I'm a rouge because willow is the only other werewolf I know." She nodded. "Well I've gotta go," she said looking at her watch. "I have a meeting in an hour for a new job at the newspapers. Anyway it was a pleasure meeting you two and I hope to see you soon." Finally she left, walking out with willow.
