Korras POV:
I finally get away from Tenzin and make my way to the kitchen to get some food.  I walk in and see Sammy is up, wearing airbender clothes, eating one of Pemas rice cakes and having Meelo and Ikki climbing all over her.

Pema: Hi Korra, would you like some lunch?

Korra: Yes, thank you Pema.

I take a seat next to Sammy and start on my rice cake.

Korra: Hey Sammy, glad to see you up and about, how are you feeling?

Sammy: I actually feel great!  And I really want to thank all of you for welcoming me into your lives with open arms.

Pema: You are welcome to stay here as long as you like Sammy.

I see Sammy smile as Meelo is continuing to climb on her back.

Pema: Meelo get off of Sammy!

Meelo: But I want to play!

Pema: Jinora please take your siblings out to yard.

Jinora rolls her eyes and grabs her younger siblings hands and walks out to the courtyard.

Sammy: Hey, so Korra I was wondering if we could do some training today?

Korra: Really?  I mean you literally just woke up, you really want to start on training today?  Why don't you take a day to relax.

Sammy: I've been in bed for weeks now, I think I have relaxed enough, please Korra, I need to be in touch with the water again.

Korra: Ok meet me in the courtyard in ten minutes.

Sammys POV:
Korra leaves for the courtyard while I finish my food.

Pema: Sammy, are you are it's a good idea for you to start training again this early in your recovery?  Maybe you should take it easy.

Sammy: It's ok Pema, I promise I will be careful but I need to practice again, I need to be myself.

She nods and I run out to find Korra.  I see Korra petting Naga and I run over to join her.

Korra: Sammy, this is Naga, my polar bear dog and my best friend.

I scratch Naga on the ear and she immediately licks me with her giant tongue.

Sammy: Haha I like you too Naga.

Korra: Wow, you really seem to have a gift with animals, do you have any?

Sammy: I do have a cat owl named Umi but I use her to deliver letters so I don't have her with me very often.

Korra: Well maybe that's for the best while Naga is here haha.

We both laugh and then make our way to the shore line to start practicing.

Korra: So, why don't you show me what you got.

Sammy: I get into position and start to bend the water around me to form an octopus stance, I bend the water like tentacles and then turn them to ice and spin them around like a deadly top.

I look over and see Korras mouth wide open in shock.

Sammy: I call that move the ice top.

Korra: Do you invent that?!

Sammy: Yup!

Korra: oh man are we going to have some fun together Sammy!

And together we practice until the sun dips low into the sky and the stars start to appear.

I finally feel like myself again.
