My dad had told Merle a few hours later, he was shocked and supportive of what my dad had said. We stayed in the truck for a few more days before scouting out to get more supplies.

We stumbled across an abandoned store, we walked inside slowly unaware of what was to come. I went to look at the meds station towards the back with my bow armed. I searched around and found painkillers, and other supplies.

I saw a radio on the counter top near the window, I could hear people talking on it. I ran to dad and Merle with the radio and supplies, as quick as I could.

"Look the radio, someones talking on the radio listen." I yelled loud enough for them to hear

"Hello, hello is anybody there we have a safe heaven in Atlanta we advise all survivors to come to the larger cities , repeat there is a safe heaven in Atlanta, there is a safe heaven in Atlanta, please move towards the cities for protection.............." The announcement ended there, they were cut off.

"We have to go there we will be safe, we can stick together, perhaps find kids my age, it could all be the same again." I announced.

"Sarah its only been weeks," my dad stated before I butted in.

"I know but it feels like everything escalated quickly and the world has turned upside down, everyone is just dying or turning and there is nothing we can do about it we have to go there or find others and start over in a place with no walkers AT All" I nearly screamed at him in sadness.

After I finished yelling walkers started to stumble into the store. they seemed to be attracted by sound or smell. We headed out of the store back to the truck to head our way somewhere new. I suggested Atlanta or a small town with less walkers to kill off.

We fought them off the best we could before we decided to flee with the supplies we had gathered. We shot them but they did not go down until we shot them straight through the head. There were about 16 of them. We headed to the truck to leave the area. I had fallen asleep while dad was driving. He drove to Atlanta, and woke me up,

"Sarah, wake up you need to see this Sarah get up." Merle had whispered.

"What, oh my the city is full of walkers, dad what do we do now we can't go through there without getting eaten.?" I implied.

"We go around the city perhaps settle in the woods we can't settle here the people on the radio lied, i'm sorry Sarah." Dad suggested.

Dad drove the car slowly around the city into the woods, while Merle let me fall asleep again on his shoulder.

I hoped we would be alright , I hoped.
