Ricky

I swear to God if Vinny doesn't shut his mouth I'm going to bite him. I love the kid but all he did was jump around and talk like a hyper kid on a sugar high.

"Vinny!"

"Yeah?"

"Please." I beg, "be a little quieter and sniff around for any unfamiliar wolf scents."

"Ok ok." He groaned dramatically.

"Dev, will you guys be ok if I leave for a bit? There's a different part of the woods I want to check out."

"Yeah, can't we just go with you?"

"No, I'll be fine. Stay out of trouble."

I didn't want them to come with because the pack I'm trying to find could be Vinnys. It wasn't a good idea for them to tag along if I found them.

It took a few hours even at full speed but I found the scent of the wolves from the cornfield the other day. By the looks of it they've already left. I would've kept following their scent but I had a family that would get worried and my human, Chris, I needed to check on.

*

I found him in his room with another boy, his friend Angelo. When I first saw them together I got jealous until learning he had a girlfriend.

Angelo wasn't human, Chris didn't know that of course. He was a werewolf also but I'd never seen him with a pack. I followed him one day but all he did was run around. His parents weren't werewolves so he must've been abandoned like Vinny.

"Where were you?" Devin hugs me. There was a flash of jealousy in Vinnys eyes.

"Just asking around if anyone's seen a new pack."

"Oh, I thought you were spying on your boyfriend."

"That to." The smell of something burning came from the kitchen. "Ryan!" He came running down.

"Shit my cookies." He complains.

"Dude just give up."

"No, never." He snapped.

We all groan.

"Can you come upstairs with me?" Ghost whispers.

"Something wrong?" I can always tell when somethings bothering you.

"Two things actually. One I think I like Vinny."

"That's obvious." I smirk, "you guys just need to get together, like now. We can't handle it much longer."

His face lights up, "you think he likes me to." I nod. "What else did you want to talk about?"

"Well I don't think it's a big deal but my head and lower back has been hurting nonstop for a few days now."

"How much, one through ten."

"Eleven."

Devin has a high pain tolerance, sure he complains sometimes when he's hurt but this must be serious if he's telling someone.

"How long exactly?"

"Four days maybe, it hurts so bad sometimes. That's why I cried the other day."

"Let's have Josh take a look, maybe he knows what's wrong."

"No no I'm fine."

"Dev you're obviously not. Are you hurting now?"

"Not to bad."

"Alright, but if it gets worse tell me." I sigh knowing his stubborn ass wouldn't give in.

*

"I make great food." Ryan defends himself.

"No offence but this is gross." I pick a hair out of my glob.

"At least you try." Josh sighs. "Just leave the cooking to Devin and I."

"Why not me?" I ask.

"Cause you burn everything then soak it in blood so it's charred and mushy."

"It can't be that bad."

"You put ramen in the microwave without water and it light on fire." Vinny points out.

"At least I try."

Devin stands up, "I'm going to bed, good night guys."

"Night." We all say. Before he gets to the stairs we hear a small yelp and his body fall to the floor.

(A/N what's up with Devin??)

Chris

"Dude wake up I'm bored." My best friend shook me.

"Nooo." I fling my arm in random directions.

"Ow asshole."

"It didn't hurt that bad."

"Yeah it did you big meanie." I laugh, Angelo's  such a big baby but I love him anyways.

"I gotta go home Chrissy, see you later."

"Don't call me Chrissy." I mumble into my pillow.

After an hour or so I decide to crawl out of my dark hole and go downstairs. My dad was sitting on the living room floor with a beer and a bunch of papers spread out. Thankfully my mom was nowhere to be seen. I sit with a bowl of cereal next to him.

"Watcha doin?"

"Looking through divorce papers and shit like that."

"Fun." I try shoving a spoonful of cinnamon crunch in his mouth which he gladly accepts.

"Any plans for today, I see Angelo left."

"No, was hoping to go to the mall, maybe get a jacket, hint hint." I give him my best puppy dog eyes complete with a big cheeky smile.

He laughs, "keys are on the counter, here's a twenty to help out."

Just then the door slams, "on second thought I might come with you." I nod, "good idea."

"Christopher, I thought I told you to rake the leaves!"

"I did yesterday after school." I say politely.

"Well there's leaves on the ground again!" She yells.

"Sarah, he already did it. When we get back later we'll both do it again."

She huffs and stomps of, "pissy much." He mutters.
