Angel
I woke up on Ryan's chest, blushing I carefully get up. He's done so much for me, I don't know why, but I greatly appreciated it, if only I could do something for him. I've been taught my entire life that vampires were monsters and only wanted to kill every other creature including the humans, but I was starting to see that we were the monsters, at least the pack I come from. All we left was destruction in our path, we were awful to each other, often leaving pups behind to die just because they to small or weak. Hell, they attacked me for no apparent reason and left me to bleed out in the cold.
I looked at the sleeping vampire, he looked so peaceful and beautiful. I felt so safe in his arms, like it was no longer a fight for survival. I felt cared for and loved. His gorgeous brown eyes opened, smiling when they landed on me.
"Good morning my little wolf. How was your sleep."
"Good." I blush, "better cause you were with me." He lifts me chin. "Something's bothering you." He stated.
"Just thinking, I'm not sure what I would've done without you. Why did you help me?"
"You reminded me of myself."
"But I'm so weak, pathetic and lost. You're strong, you have a place where you belong. I'm just a lost puppy, literally." He rubs his thumb against my cheek.
"That's not how I see you. I see a strong young man who's seen a lot and gotten through it. You're scarred but it's made you beautiful in my eyes. All of us are like that." My eyes water, nobodies ever said anything like that to me before. I lean into his palm, what is this feeling?
He places a gentle kiss on my forehead that made my stomach feel like it would explode. My face heated up again. "You're such a cutie." He smiled. Then I surprised myself, I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed his cheek. It might not be a big deal to others but I've never given or received any form of affection, unless aggressive play fighting is considered affection. His arms wrapped around my waist pulling me onto his lap.
"Please don't hurt or abandon me." I sounded pathetic to my own ears.
"I'll always keep you safe little Angel, I won't let anyone hurt you."
