Ricky

"Chris I swear to fucking God! You're human, what do you think you can do? We know what we're doing now shut up and listen would you!" Angelo yelled.

I didn't dare get in the middle of the two friends. They'd been fighting for the past half hour. But the last comment even Angelo knew stung. Chris turned around and stomped upstairs, I assume to my room.

"That was a bit harsh."

"I know." He sighed, "I just don't want him to do anything stupid. Maybe you should talk to him since he's pissed at me."

Chris was sitting on my bed looking rather upset. I would be to if my best friend just said something like that to me. I pull him to my chest running my fingers through his hair.

"Angelo's just trying to make sure you're safe, he didn't mean to hurt your feelings."

"I know, I feel useless."

"I know baby." I do my best to comfort him.

"Ricky we have a problem." Josh ran by.

"Devin, Angel!  Come with me." Howling could be heard outside. I drag the three of them to the basement and open a hidden door. It was a small room that we'd added for cases like this.

"Devin that tiny window over there, we'll try to lead some close. You freeze them and it'll make them easier to kill. Don't hurt yourself." I say kissing his cheek.

Angel was curled up in the corner sobbing. "I want Ryan."

I try to sooth him but wasn't successful. I call Chris over.

"Chris will stay right here with you. If anything happens, which I'm sure nothing will, Devin will take care of it." He nods and leans against Chris.

"Chris baby we'll be fine, I need you to focus on keeping Angel calm." I kiss him before running outside.

Ryan was already injured but kept throwing arrows and lighting fires. There was a foot or more snow on the ground so it wasn't working well.

Light them on fire not the snow dummy. I say into his mind.

He took my advice and loud yelping could be heard.

Josh was doing well by himself but being alone in a fight never ended well for anyone. There's gotta be more of them coming. The entire pack clearly wasn't here.

"Stop! Stop!" I scream. Devin freeze them. Their paws get trapped in the snow long enough for us to take the upper hand.

"Josh pull them closer together and make sure they stay put and put up a barrier of protection." The look at me with blank expressions. "Fucking now! They're just babies!" They snap into action as soon as they heard this.

Angelo and Vinny growled, we were now circled by larger wolves. Vinny and Josh take the ones on the left. Angelo nearest to the house. Dev will help you. Ryan eyes on everything. I'll take care of the rest. They do as told, we've used similar tactics like this before. We paired with who's abilities were strongest together while the others looked over everything, fighting where needed. I didn't know what  Angelo and vinny could take so I did my best pairing them.

This pack was vicious with tricks of their own up their sleeves. There was one blue eyed wolf that seemed to have the ability to get into one's mind. I watch as Angelo lunges at him and drops in midair. I throw it against a tree while Ryan lights fire. It seemed unfazed. The pack was dwindling, either running or dead. Except the one at Vinnys throat, Devin ran outside of course. At the same time Angelo jumps ontop of it while Devin froze the wolf. Vinny was injured to the point where he'd turned back to human form and was bleeding out. Out of pure rage Angelo ripped into the wolves throat not stopping until he was satisfied.

Devin was sobbing and trying to stop the bleeding. "Ange take them inside!" I yell.

The blue eyed wolf was the only one left. This one obviously not stupid like the others.
