Chapter 10

"I'm sorry I dragged you into this." I said to Harry who's soothing me, making me calm.

We've been lying on my bed for almost two hours now. I am lying on his chest, one arm tucked between our bodies and the other arm was resting on his torso. One of Harry's arm was placed around my waist and another arm was on my hair, caressing it. Our limbs are tangled to each other. He keeps on saying things like 'its ok' or 'don't cry now' or 'let's forget everything that happened' or 'I'm here, I'll take care of you' to make me relax. It was nice and sweet of him to stay with me tonight. I kinda like the way he treats me.

"It's ok, Sweet cheeks. I should be the one saying sorry because I didn't defend you from the lady. I was really shocked and stunned. But I promise you, it didn't change anything. I will still like you and care for you whatever people say. I hope you believe me, Sammy." He said caressing my hair and kissing the top my head.

"I believe you, Harry. Thank you." I said closing my eyes and smiling a little.

"Sweet cheeks?" I heard Harry said.

"Hmm?" I said while drawing circles on his chest.

"If you don't mind me asking," he paused. I move my head and looked at his beautiful face. He looked at me hesitantly. I nodded, urging him to continue. "What does she meant when she said that you're not as angelic as I thought you are? Is it about your past?"

I closed my eyes for a moment, "Do you really want to know?" I opened my eyes to see his face.

He nodded, "But its ok if you're not ready to tell me yet. I mean, I know you only trust James and Stacy but I want you to trust me too. You can always trust me, Sammy." He said looking at me sincerely.

"If I tell you that it will change the way you looked at me, do you still want to know about it?" I asked.

"Trust me, it will never change anything between us. You're still my Sweet cheeks."

"Ok." I said. I sat up from my bed and Harry did the same. We lie our backs on the head board. He held my hand and intertwined our fingers together. "Where do you want me to start?" I asked.

"From the beginning." He smiled at me.

"I was 10 years old by that time. My parents decided to have a mini vacation and surprised me by taking me out to go to the beach. We had so much fun that day. Little did I know that that day will be the last time I will see my parents happy and alive." I closed my eyes remembering that tragic event. "It was raining when we got out of the beach. The roads are wet and slippery and the sky was so dark. My dad was driving so fast because he said he was tired and wanted get home to get some sleep. On our way home, my dad lost control of our car. The car flipped and hit a large tree beside the road. Both of my parents died and I was the only one who survived. After that, the police forced me to stay with my Aunt Martha, my dad's sister." I looked at Harry's face and I saw him closed his eyes deciphering everything I said. "Do you remember the phone call I received at the office?" He nodded. "That was my Aunt Martha. She doesn't have a family. My dad was the only family she had. I lived with her for 4 years. It was hell living with her. She always insults me and when I refused to buy her her alcohol and cigarette, she will beat me until I can't move every single bone of my body." I felt Harry squeezed my hand. "When I turned 14, I decided to run away from her. I become homeless. I have no idea where to go and what to do. I tried to find a job but because of my age, they won't accept me. The only thing that came across my mind it to..." I paused. I didn't realize that I was crying until Harry placed his hands on my cheeks and wiped my tears away.

"You can stop if want to. I won't force you to tell me." He said and kissed my forehead.

"No. You told me that I can trust you. That's why I'm going to tell you because I trust you now." I said.
