Moon the Hedgehog : The Origins

The following day Moon, Sonic and Tails gathered up with the rest of the Team and Shard. Moon explained to Shard what happened in the fight with Zazz, the mysterious creature she had encountered last night. She was still excited about her new powers.

"Well basically there was this ugly guy called Zazz who randomly attacked us but I kicked is skinny ass"

"What did he look like?" Shard asked enthusiastically.

"Well he was purple ....and his tongue, his tongue was hanging out everywhere and it was disgusting coz his spit would shoot out of his mouth every time he spoke." Moon and Shard laughed.

"Tails explained to me everything, it sounded awesome!"

"Attention guys." Sonic walked into Tails' workshop. Everyone went silent and listened carefully. "Thank you now before we start figuring out how to get that Chaos Emerald back from Shadow, I just want to welcome our two newest members to my team. Since they have new values powers which could help us defeat Shadow and help us in our regular battles, I decided it was only sensible to let these amazing girls on my team. So please welcome as official members of Team Sonic, Moon the Hedgehog and Shard the Cat."

Moon froze. Was she actually a part of Team Sonic now. Did this mean she no longer had to fight on her own? This was the beginning to a whole new life full of adventures.

"So Tails have you got any ideas of what these powers are?" Moon asked

"I've come to a conclusion that these powers that you have suddenly gained are the powers of the Chaos Emeralds."

"Does that mean....?"

"Yes, you know have the exact same powers as Shadow but that doesn't mean it will easy to defeat him, it only makes it a tiny bit easier."

"Well," Shard said "What's your plan to stop Shadow and get that Chaos Emerald anyway. Him and the Chaos Emeralds could be anywhere."

Sonic thought for a while "Well first we need to figure out where Shadow would have gone, any ideas?"

"I have an idea but it might not be right" Moon said quietly.

Sonic stuck his thumb up, "We might as well try. Go for it Moon."

"Well, I know for sure that it was Dr Eggman who awakened Shadow after the government sealed him up 50 years ago. Knowing Shadow he would serve the one who has awakened him as returning the favour. So maybe he's given the Chaos Emerald to Dr Eggman?"

"That sounds great." Sonic winked making Moon blush. "Well what are we waiting for, to Eggman'a base! Me and Moon will run, the rest of you will take the X Tornado. Come on, Let's go!"

Moon and Sonic sped off in the direction to the evil doctors base. Soon after, the rest of Team Sonic left in Tails' X Tornado.

"Race you there" Moon said to Sonic.

"Oh I'll be at Eggman's base before you are even half way."

"We will see about that." Moon teased. She moved her legs even faster making her glow bright red. She moved so fast her feet were almost lifted of the ground. The wind blew against her face. The feeling of running at sonic speed was so satisfying. Moon turned to look at Sonic who was slightly behind her. She winked at him and laughed accelerating even more.

They arrived at Eggmans base quicker than they knew it. It was armed with security cameras everywhere to ensure no intruders dared step in. They had to find a way to get into Eggman's evil lair without being noticed.
