Water Polo

ON YOUR MARK . . . GO

I was accepted onto a water polo team (which we don't have where I live). My Captain told me to swim laps to show how fast I could go. Except, I was wearing a t-shirt and baggy shorts. I started swimming and was pulled out.

"J! Why are you slower than normal?" My coach asks.

"I don't have my swimming suit."

"Go change."

I went to go change, but every time I tried, somebody would come in the room. Eventually, I got changed and headed to the diving board. As I jump off, two boys appear in front of me. I somehow divert my path and get knocked out.

When I come to, my coach starts to question me, "What happened in there J?!?!"

"There were two boys. I didn't want to hit them so I flung my body weight."

"You did good."

I get praised .
