Morning After:

When I woke up I was lying on my side and could feel Liam wrapped around my body. His breathing on my shoulder was soothing and I didn’t want to wake him.  I left my eyes closed as I memorized the feel of his body pressed against mine.

Last night was incredible.  He had kept his promise about making the wait worth it.  He had not disappointed.  I could still recall the way he clenched me to him as he came undone.  I had never felt more alive than I did when he relaxed onto my chest.

The best part wasn’t even making love.  It was the way he looked at me afterwards.

Like I was his everything.  His reason for being, and I felt the same.  I had already loved him with all my heart, and now I had given him every precious part of me.  He had brushed the hair from my face and kissed me as though he was trying to assure himself that I was real.   When he noticed the chocolate smeared all over us he laughed and kissed me sloppily. Before I knew it he was ready to go again.

I smiled as I recalled the second time, which had been a lot rougher than the first.  I think he went easy on me in the beginning since it was my first time, but after that…he went full throttle.

I heard him chuckle then, and could feel it vibrate on my back.  I opened my eyes and turned around to face him still wrapped in his arms.

“I didn’t mean to wake you,” he said kissing my forehead.

I snuggled into the crook of his neck, “you didn’t. I was just thinking…”

“About last night.” He finished my sentence with a smile, “Yeah, me too. You sure you’ve never shagged anyone before, because you were quite vocal about what you preferred.” He said laughing as my face turned beet red.

“Shut up Payne,” I said  hiding my face on his chest.  I peeked up at him embarrassed, “I wasn’t that loud was I?”  He put a finger under my chin and lifted it up until he was staring into my eyes.

“You were perfect,” he said proudly as he pressed a kiss on my lips.  I smiled happily.

“Although room service is going to be chuffed at the mess we made,” he said looking around the room.

Confused, I lifted myself up on one elbow to see what he meant as a twinge of pain ran all the way up to my shoulders.  I looked down and saw very distinguishable hand marks on my upper arms before looking up and taking in the destruction of the suite.

“Whoa,” I said shocked. “Did we do all this?”

The rose petals that he had so elegantly placed on the floor were scattered everywhere, along with dozens of feathers from the apparently demolished pillows that lay on the floor.

“You were gripping those pillows very tightly if I remember correctly,” he said smugly.  The candles were lying on the floor as well with the wax firmly solidified into the carpet.  That must have happened after he blew them out to not start a fire and we couldn’t see where anything was.

Or where each other was, I thought cheekily as I remembered him catching me and pushing me up against the wall.  I glanced behind us and gasped.

“When did that happen?!” He turned to see and his expression became guilty as he observed the bed frame that had a 5 inch crack running along the top of it that definitely wasn’t there before.

“Oh…uh” he stuttered embarrassed. “Well, you remember when I picked you up during the night and sort of…?”

“Slammed me against the headboard.” I said laughing.
