"What am I doing here?" I retaliated, "What are you doing here?"
"I'm trying to forget about you," Suzy muttered with some added force to her voice.
"Same here," I glared at her, right in her eyes.
"Good," she raised her voice, "What about him?" Suzy motioned to Jon.
"He's-"
"I'm just being a good friend," Jon intervened, speaking for me.
"Well, aren't you so proud of yourself?" Suzy retorted, then turned her attention back to me, "You're lucky. Everyone is believing your side of the story so well. Oh boo hoo, you poor victim," she mocked.
"Shut up," I muttered under my breath. I was too afraid of standing up to her. I knew that I was as good as her at this point.
"Hmm?" Suzy hummed, jeering at my silence.
"Please, just-" I sighed, knowing that my attempts to push her away were in vain.
"Fuck off," Jon stood up, meeting Suzy's gaze angrily.
"You don't even know what Arin said to me," Suzy pointed out the true facts.
"I don't quite know what you said to him, either," Jon stated matter of factly.
"He said-" I felt my heart skip a beat.
"Stop!" I cried out, fearful of Jon turning against me. I felt faint and sick.
"Look at who decided to finally join us in this nice conversation," Suzy glared at me.
"Please, don't tell him," I begged Suzy.
"Why not? After all you've done to me, people should know that you aren't worthy of any friendship."
"I want to keep my friends," I bawled.
"Don't we all?" Suzy asked.
"Arin, we're leaving," Jon grabbed my hand, and dragged me to the car. Suzy just stared.
"I'm so sorry," I started, "I can't believe I started such a scene," I stared at the ground in shame.
"No, it's not your fault! Not at all," Jon put a hand on my shoulder, "You seem tense," he attempted to make me cheer up by smiling at me. I forced a laugh, one that was obviously faked.
"Yep," I shrugged, "I want to go home."
"Don't cry, I'm going to get you home," Jon reassured me.
"Okay," I sniffled, smiling a bit, "Thank you so much."
"Don't mention it!" Jon grinned back.
"I hope Suzy doesn't ruin my friendships," I avoided his gaze.
"How would she?" Jon asked curiously.
"She could tell everyone about what I said," I sighed in defeat, having no more tears to cry.
"What could you have said that'd be so bad?" Jon wondered.
"I don't want to tell you," I refused, turning away from him.
"Alright," Jon easily accepted it, and I was thankful for that.
"I'm sorry we couldn't stay," I mumbled.
"Don't worry about that. We can always go some other time."
"Alright," I nodded in agreement, "Let's go."
Jon led me to the passenger's seat of the car, and I suddenly felt tiredness overtake me. I didn't particularly want to sleep, but I was drowsy, and fell asleep in the car.
