Chapter 14 : I Warned You

Daria's POV

Why did he do that? God am confused. He causes pain to my friends and he thinks he can kiss me?!
I sighed and laid down covering myself tightly. I closed my eyes but not too long I opened them again.

1 hour later I was still awake. 2 hours. 3 hours. Agh!!!

I looked at the clock to see its 2 am. Great. Tomorrow I'll probably fall asleep in class. Just as I was about to shut my eyes I heard and noises and tapping on my window.

Woah. Not creepy at all.

I slowly get up and walk closer to the window. It was dark so I couldn't see anything. I touched the wall so I could help myself walk. God am an idiot. Why didn't I turn the lights on first?

Just when I was almost there I saw a shadow pick the lock of my window. My eyes widened and my breath hitched in fear. Who the fuck is this?

I grabbed the closest thing which was a baseball bat. I watched in horror as the figure climbed in my room. I couldn't see his face or anything. I instantly reacted when he walked closer. So I repeatedly hit him with the bat.

He groaned in pain just as I moved back and screamed ready to run but he grabbed me by my waist to his chest. I struggled against the stranger yelling and hitting his arms repeatedly.

"Let me go! You Ugly Monster!" I yelled biting his arm. He instantly loosened his grip and spoke before I could connect my fist with his jaw.

"Daria! Calm the fuck down. It's just me."

When he said that I froze. I looked at him and instantly recognized him. By his voice.

I walked closer to him like predator hunting for his prey.
I let out a dark chuckle and looked at him my blood boiling.

"Just you?" I asked calmly when I was fuming.

He nodded and I punched him as he flew across the room.
He glared at me and i glared back.

"You scared the crap out of me!" I screamed narrowing my eyes at him.

He rolled his eyes rubbing his jaw.

"Well sorry, your majesty. Nice punch though would totally help my viscous plan of killing your boyfriend." Artemis said and smirked.

I glared at him and crossed my arms.

"Get out."

"Why did you runway? And Slap me?!" He asked miving closer.

"Because you kissed me." I aid bluntly and shrugged.

"And you kissed me back."

"And I regret it."

"What?"

"You are trying to hurt me and my friend and would expect me to share make out sessions with you?!" I yelled at him.

"Daria I would never hurt you. But I will hurt your friends If you don't understand how important this plan is to me." He warned inching closer.

"I will not join you just because you wanna revenge on my ex-boyfriend."

"Why? Do you still love him?"

"That none of your business." I said trying to push him out.

"You have 3 more days, Dee. Or I'll have to cause damage to your pretty little friends." He threatened.

"You're threatening me?"

He didn't answer me. He just left.

I woke up at the noise and remembered today was the day Layla would be out of the hospital.
I instantly grinned and did my morning routine. After I got dressed I saw the girls sitting on the couch laughing with Layla.

"Layla!" I yelled in excitement and embraced her in a tight hug.

I still blame myself for what happened to her. It was so my fault.

"Am so glad you're okay." I whispered in her hair.

"Don't blame yourself, Dee. Kate told me you do. Whatever happens you shouldn't join him. It's hayes we're talking about. He can't die." She said pulling away and smiling at me.

Well I guess they told her everything.
I nodded and we sat down watching.

3 days passed by too quickly I was so nervous and angry. And sad.
I was clueless. We don't even have a plan.
I can fight and all but its just... I don't think I can defeat a whole gang or even stop him.

He seemed so determined. I know he is going to make my friends suffer if I don't join. Maybe that's the right thing to do. Maybe I should just join him. It will stop all this.

"You are not giving yourself in." I heard Darcy say reading my thoughts with narrowed eyes.

I turned around and looked at her amused.

"How did you know I was planning to?"

"I can read you like an open book." She said and shrugged.

I groaned loudly and fisted my hair like a mad woman. I am.

"Am joining him. I will not risk your lives for something so stupid and irrelevant like this I will go and-"

"Do nothing." She cut me off.
I glared at her and sighed.

"He said I have 5 nor minutes." I said in barely a whisper looking down at the text. Darcy somehow heard me with a sad look.

Alarmed I jumped.
"Call the girls! Now! Let us all be in the same room."

Darcy nodded and grabbed her phone.

Kate and Layla walked in with a sad look.

"What?" I asked discreetly.

"Madison is not answering her phone and she is nowhere to be found." Layla said pacing through the room.

Just then my phone vibrated.

*IT WON'T  BE THAT EASY, BITCHES -E*

I jumped dialing the person that might be aware of her location.

"Hello?"

"Hey Elijah. Have you seen Madison?"

"Yeah she's here."

My lips tugged up in a smirk.

"I see. Well don't let her out of your sight. Artemis is going to make a move anytime."

"Yeah sure." He hung up and I laid down.

Not few minutes later my phone was ringing.

"Daria! I can't find Madison! She said she was going to the toilet but now I can't find her anywhere!!" Elijah screamed into the phone worridely.

And just like that, all hell broke loose.

Like that my doorbell rang with a body bag. Thats how we were all crying when we saw a bullet hole in Madison's head when we opened the bag.

That's how we were having a funeral crying our eyes out. And that's how I hated Artemis forever and plan to revenge.

He killed Madison.

My friend. My childhood friend that was always there for me. I hate him. I will kill him myself for touching my friend.

My phone vibrated and I clenched my fists.

Unknown Number: I warned you. This is just the first taste of my venom. Kisses -E
