Nandini's pov

I heard some noises from behind the wall..they were the crashing of leaves under feet...someone was there...can it be manik ?? They can be the same men even...

God help me

Sitting over there and waiting for someone was not the option that I chose so I just got up moved around the room to find something...but it was crystal clear , they didn't even leave a single pin or anything...

Wait

Suddenly my mind got an idea and I moved my hands in my hair to look for a hair pin , when I found one..I moved towards the door looked outside from a small empty square left on the side of the door as the else of whole gate was having a sheet on it...there was no sign of looking outside even except for the square...I stood on my toes as it was a bit high

At that time I remembered manik

I moved my hand put from that square and descended it to reach the lock but my arms were small...I can feel the lock but I wont be able to get the pin in it...I was still fighting with my hands and lock and standing on my toes when I felt someone taking the pin from my hand...

"Nandini " manik said and I sighed in relief to see him

"Manik " I took his name as though feeling blessed to have him here

"Relax..I'm here " he said as he struggled to get the lock opened

We heard the footsteps and manik hid somewhere and I too sat on the floor and make it look like as though nothing happened...I heard the steps getting closer....one of the men peeped through the square...

"All good babe ?"he said with disgust filled voice and I so wanted to dig his grave..I heard the other man laughing and he too laughed but I chose to stay quiet..they both left and I after hearing their steps getting far and got up and saw manik moving to me..

"Sorry that they are treating you like this " manik says and I feel like kissing this man for such innocence

"It's not your fault at all " I says and manik again started struggling to open the lock..

With each passing second my eagerness grew...I kept on looking forward to check of anyone was coming or not...

"Thank god " I say as I heard the lock getting opened...

Manik opened the door and I stepped out and hugged manik who responded me with equal or rather more force...

I felt him kissing my head..

"Tum theek ho ?" He asked cupping my cheeks and I just nodded.."let's move " he says and we move out with slow steps as there was complete silence and they can hear our footsteps...

We moved out and spotted them standing with their back facing us and smoking as I saw the smoke releasing in the air..

Manik side hugged me and we both moved towards the car..the car was parked in front of the the descending slope and we quietly sat in the car , making sure not to make any noise..as there was a slop behind so Manik didn't ignite the car , he released the handbrake and the car move backwards...we crossed the slope and because of the momentum caused after crossing the slope and the car moved further backwards...when we were finally away , manik ignited the car and drove away...

"You okay ?" He asked stopping the car on one side as we have come far and keeping his hand on my thigh as I take deep breaths...at that moment I knew nothing except for the knots that stomach made and the current in me because of his touch..

"Yeah" I managed to reply..."I got scared " I opened my hear out " I thought that I will not see daddy and you again " I continued saying

"Everything is fine " he assured me and kissed my lips...he again started the car and we finally reach a new place..

"Where are we?" I asked

"My place " manik replied "they know cabir's home now " he added..he had a point

We both moved in and Navya hugged me showing her concern..

"Kaisi ho ?" She asked

"I'm fine " I replied

"Thank you so much Manik " navya thanked Manik and O looked at him who passed my a smile..

"You ok ?"'cabir asked

"Did they hurt you ? If they did then yell me I will rose a case against them " tis time it was Alya

"Exactly...you can tell fearlessly " dhruv said

"Guys I'm okay and Alya it means a lot but you are forgetting that they are the government..they run the courts...they will ruin your career " I said

"That's so sweet of you Nandini that you care " Alya said and I smiled..

"Enough pf the gossips nandini you go snd freshen up..." manik said and Alya took me to a room..I spilled water on my face to cool down my senses...I wasn't able to digest what just happened..I forgot the towel and moved out to see manik sitting on the bed...he looked at me and then beside him where was towel lying..

May be he realised my cause of being there after seeing my wet face...

he took the towel and moved towards me..he stood in front of me and started drying my face lovingly...he did his work ever so gently that I feel like loosing my tiredness...when he was done he threw the towel back on the bed and cupped my face

"You don't have to worry...I am there to protect you.." he said and his words were enough for me to shed a stream of silent tears..

"Oh baby " he said and hid my face in his chest and encircled his arms around me...
