18.short relief

Unable to think of any other way , Manik with Dhruv left for the police station to know the reason for him getting arrested and to bail him if possible....

"Manik I'll also come " Nandini told Manik as soon as he made a mind to visit Cabir

"No !! You stay right over here...I don't want you to visit such place " Manik said cupping his face as his 'Boyfriend ' mode was on...Nandini gave up on the idea and decided to call Navya

"Hello " came Navya's happy voice

She doesn't know Nandini thought

"Navya why don't you come at my place ? We'll have a girls' time " Nandini tried not to sound worried

"Okay " Navya agreed thinking that Mandini might be feeling alone and that's why she is calling her...

Nandini cut the call and took a sharp breath , making her ready to tell her friend that her boyfriend was in a bad state....

Shall I call Manik ?? Shall I ask him ?? What if he'll be busy ??...he'll call me by himself...Yeah !! Nandini was making a conversation in her brain and finally decided to wait for his call and to hope for good....

On the other hand , Manik stood in front of the officer's desk , making a call...

"You have to agree that he is innocent " Dhruv tried to sound calm with his jaw tightening as he gritted his teeth

"You don't have any proofs for his innocence "

"What proofs do you have that he is a drug dealer ?" Dhruv did know the way

Cabir has been arrested because a company's person , who is associated with government work told them that drugs had been located in with Cabir.....and because he belonged to some high post , Cabir was areated without a second thought

"Law wasn't made to be unfair " Dhruv said trying not to lose his temper

"Officer " Manik said and handed him the phone

Manik being engrossed in work with some elites had been beneficial as he made him talk to Faraday , who was the detective dealing with such cases from which officers take help....he told the officer to let him free as they hadn't got proper proofs and law cannot be that strict to put someone in jail without having witnesses.....

That's what court demands

The officer sent one of the constables to get Cabir and he soon came....

"Let's go , bro " Dhruv encircled his arm on his shoulder to give him much needed support....emotionally...

"I hope they didn't treat you bad " Manik said "did they ?" He questioned and Cabir shook his head

"No..they didn't even touch me " He said "did you tell Navya ?" He asked....he was definitely concerned for her

"We didn't, may be Nandini did " Dhruv said and they all settled in the car

"Let me call her first " Manik said and dialled Nandini's number

"Manik " Nandini whispered as though she didn't want someone to listen , it would be Navya she didn't want to listen

"Hey !! We got Cabir....He's okay....did you tell Navya ?" He asked

"Not yet but she's with me "

"Okay then we are coming and I think Cabir will tell her himself " Manik said and looked at Cabir who was seated in the back seat , he nodded.. "yeah !! Bye , love " Manik ended the call

"Your girl is way too smart " Dhruv complemented and Manik grinned

"She is " Manik said smiling

"Cabir !! You k ow Manik wasn't at all the one who could have been in a relation but I must say Nandini has changed him a lot...changed for good actually " Dhruv praised Nandini and Manik continued to smile like an idiot...

Dhruv being the person who knew how to deal with the emotions at certain times did show his magic and lighten up the mood which made the drive comfortable till they reach Murthy Mansion...

They all got down and entered the house to see the lounge empty...

"They must be in the room " Manik said " Tell Nandini we're here " manik said to the butler and he left

After almost few second both the girls came downstairs with laughing at something...

Manik caught his breath as he saw his girl laughing , the way her mouth opened , revealing her teeth made her look all more ethereal... Every time Manik looked at his girl , he would feel getting drowned in her...she was his peace....

Today , she laughed but the gleam that appeared in her eyes when she laughed was gone and it reflected that how hard it was to laugh in front of others just to let them know that she os okay but how can Manik fell in her trap when he knows her....Manik felt his heart wince in pain as he saw that longing in her doe-eyes... her eyes reflected that sleepless nights she had and that devastated him...

Both the girls approached the boys

"What are you guys doing over here ?" It was Navya

Cabir took a long breath , held Navya's hand and started to tell her all that had happened in a day....
