Chapter 9: Cracking The Case

Rui's POV:
Naomi was wrapped up in my arms still fast asleep, after last nights affairs though I couldn't blame her for being worn out, she lost a close friend and the murder is seemingly connected to our case which she already had really strong feelings towards in the first place being an idol herself. I hope she's gonna be okay continuing this case especially after everything that's happened in the past couple of weeks, I looked down when I felt movement and heard mumbling to see that Naomi was having a nightmare.

''Rui...no please....don't...go'' she whimpered as her face scrunched up in fear, I pulled her closer to me so that he face was buried in my neck and tightened my grip around her shivering body, I wanted her to know that I was right here and that I wasn't going anywhere.

''Shh, shh its okay Naomi I'm here I promise you I'm not going anywhere'' I whispered softly into her ear, she stirred slightly I looked down to come face to face with her beautiful purple eyes, I showed her a comforting smile allowing her to show me a small one of her own. ''There's that beautiful smile of yours, you know snuggles I love all of you; your excited expression , the face you make when you get all embarrassed, your focused face when your practicing or rehearsing but most of all your smile is my favourite it really can lighten up any room or brighten any mood. so please keep smiling a real smile for me'' I said as I tenderly stroked her cheek with my thumb.

''Rui...Your right I should smile more I may have lost a good friend and now our rapist had turned into a murderer too. All the more reason to find and capture this guy right!'' she said with a look of determination plastered on her face I smiled at her response and nodded before sitting up straight pulling her up with me

''yeah then we can all celebrate...maybe then we can go on a proper date and have some 'real' grown up fun'' I said with a suggestive wink, she just hummed a response and jumped out of bed to go and change in her room. I sat there wide eyed either she didn't get what I was hinting at or she totally ignored me...wow what a girl. I smiled and stood up walking to the bathroom and jumping in the shower before pulling on my casual clothes, today Naomi, Kiyoharu and I were going out to gather information providing that Kiyo isn't too hung over. Ah well he is coming with us either way, Sakuya is staying at the agency with the chief to work on hacking the phone whilst the chief deals with paper work and Naomasa has his job as a lawyer to do today so he's too busy to help out.

''Morning Rui!'' the chief shouted from the breakfast table where Naomi was already talking with Sakuya and Naomasa whilst eating breakfast I looked around but I couldn't see Kiyo anywhere,

''yo Saku where's your big bro?'' I asked sitting down beside Naomi and sipping at the coffee she handed me, Sakuya looked to me from Naomi and nodded his head towards the door before getting back to his conversation with them. I looked to the door and saw Kiyoharu walking in sluggishly he was holding his head...yup he was totally hung over and regretting drinking that much last night heh that'll teach him. He walked over to the table and sat next to me I grabbed a glass of water and threw it over him nonchalantly making the table go quiet and just stare at us.

''What the hell was that for Rui!'' he shouted making me smirk as I stood up and refilled the glass looking back at him,

''flirting with my girlfriend whilst you were pissed out your ass last night'' I said smirking at him evilly his eyes widened as Sakuya threw another glass of water over him taking us all by surprise

''and what was that Sakuya what the hell did I do to you!'' Kiyo growled Sakuya just stared back at him with a bored yet annoyed expression

''for trying to come on to me after Rui kicked you away from Naomi'' he said quietly making Kiyo blush bright red and bang his face on the table in embarrassment. Naomi started laughing along with the chief and I. Naomasa smiled and walked out of the agency as Saku walked downstairs to the office area. I walked back over to the table and handed the fresh glass of water over to Kiyo who flinched before taking it from me with a very confused look on his face,
