Every Road Leads to Somewhere

Chapter 3

     I woke up abruptly the next morning. Yes! Finally the day I graduate!  We had to be at school by 12:30. I decided to quickly text Aiden. I told him to meet me at the park in half an hour. I wanted to tell him that I was sorry for everything.                                                                                                      I put on the cutest outfit I could muster and headed out. The park is only about five minutes away from my house.                                                                                                                                                              When I got to the park, I could see him sitting on a picnic table. Ugh, why does he look especially cute today? Stay strong, you can do this. I walked over to where he was sitting.                     "Hi," I didn't know what else to say. Why did I suddenly go brain dead?

When he saw me he got up. "Hey, so you're leaving today, huh?"

"Yeah, but before you get made at me, I wanted to s--" He cut me off.

"For one, I am not mad. I couldn't be mad at that pretty face for long." As he said that he made me blush, and  I don't usually blush. 

"Good, why don't we go get brunch before we graduate?" I said, hoping he'd take me up on my offer. 

"Of course, let's go," He said with a huge smile.

Finally, something is going according to plan for once. I thought while he drove us to the nearest Four Star. 

When we got there I ordered my usual. Aiden and I talked like old times. I noticed that he kept staring at me while I talked.

"Why do you keep looking at me like that?" I questioned.

"You are just so beautiful and the best thing that has ever happened to me."

Why was he so sweet? It just makes it even harder to leave. I can't leave him here, can I? But I knew that I had to.
