Hugging the Corporal

Being the Corporal's girlfriend comes with constant ups and downs. We both care for each other very much, and we constantly tell each other that everyday, but our relationship never feels complete.

Why? Well, we never show much intimacy with each other.

What I mean here is that never once in our 2 year relationship, did he ever kiss or hug me...You would think that if we've been together that long, we would have made some contact. For Pete's sake, most share their first kiss within a month, and a hug within days. Why can't we be the same?

I have no doubts about him loving me and all, so don't think of it like that. It's just that I would like some of that classic couple closeness.

Padding down the hall, I let my mind wander into thought. What would Levi think or do if I did hug him? What about a kiss?

Narrowing my eyes, I raise my fist in determination. That's it! I will give him the biggest, warmest hug in thie history of the world, and a sweet kiss to go with it. He's going to have to deal with it.

Turning around on my heel, I skip towards the direction of my victim's office.

Arriving at the large doors, I grab the handle and swing them open. There's no need to knock, he's used to me always showing up randomly.

"Leeeeviiii~!"

The short man was sitting at his desk, countless papers and books scatter the top of it. Some even laid on the ground. He hummed in response, not even looking up from his papers.

I sashay over to his side, and wrap my arms around his shoulders, my face drawing close to his own.

"Whatcha doing?"

Clicking his tongue, he places the paper he was previously examining down, and picks up another one. "Doing paperwork, what do you think I'm doing."

Faking a pout, I lean my head against his. "That was cold."

He sighs and raises one hand to ruffle the top of my head. "I'm sorry, it's just I'm a bit preoccupied at the moment."

I nod in understanding, and remain there resting against Levi. I stay like that for a few minutes before I slowly slide my arms down so that they wrap around his waist, and I give him an awkward back hug.

His whole body tenses up, and his eyes widen.

Leaning my face down, I give him a light kiss on the cheek.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!"

Jumping, I quickly let go of him, and back up.

He snaps his gaze towards me, his features twisted into a furious scowl.

My eyes widen, and I stutter out incoherent sounds before I finally find my voice. "I-I-I was just showing you my affection that's all. I-I thought that would be alright...."

Jumping to his feet, he takes brisk steps towards my frame.

"Well you thought wrong brat."

I flinch and back away from him. "Why can't I? What's wrong with it?"

Slamming his fists on either side of me, he pins my body to the wall, the angry expression still on his face. "Did it ever go through your dumb head that I don't want that kind of relationship you damn brat?!"

Letting out a choked sound, tears prick at the corner of my eyes. Raising my hand up, I bring it across Levi's cheek, striking him so hard, he stumbles backward.

"Fine! Then consider this relationship over you damn insensitive jerk!"

He looks surprised by my sudden outburst, and opens his mouth to say something, but I don't let him. Turning around, I stalk to the door. Flinging it open, I turn around and say one last thing to him.
